April 28th update promised a fix to the gallery freezing up issue. This has not been completely fixed. I clicked on 10 items in the gallery normally and then it froze up when I checked again and lost my progress. The curser also moves all over the place. This is unacceptable.
This is still happening after today’s patch. In fact, I’d say it’s gotten worse. It’s very frustrating to have to keep fiddling around with controls if I want things like the gallery and CAS to work, only for it to crash anyway. When it isn’t freezing, I can’t select different views to look at when I click a gallery post or download items.
Happens for tattoos and rooms with debug items only.
Same here I'm on PS5 and I'm still having this issue with the gallery soft locking and it is actually very frustrating at this point especially because like everybody else I want to play the game I've spent so much money on…
Same here on xbox. First noticed the issue some time after the last update (the one before May 12th) and thought I would try again after today’s update but it still freezes.
Same here on xbox. I’ve tried multiple times before the May 12th update and after to get some tattoos from the gallery but as soon as I click on something everything freezes and I have to quit the game and restart.
Every single time I open the Sims 4 gallery on my xbox series X it freezes my game entirely. Thr only way to fix this is to force the game to stop from my xbox home menu. This causes me to lose all of my progress in CAS when creating new sims and when trying to add anything to a lot in build mode. This has been happening for over a week now and has made my game unplayable.
PS5, still happening. Fixes for PlayStation are mostly about marketplace, which is funny. We can’t use bought items and create stuff, because then we can’t place them without soft locking the game. Genuine question, is this a joke? I guess because hotfix (and now this huge update) didn’t fix a thing in my game. It’s happening 99% of the time. The biggest pain is I can’t use stuff from my own library, can’t delete it or place it in any save. Creating new save file is pointless at this moment. I consider gallery and library to be main features and being robbed of that is, frankly, ridiculous. That make this game officially broken on PS5 and I have been through some crazy updates with the Sims 4 previous years. Never was I unable to use my own stuff.
If this is not fixed in the next update, I don’t think there is any point spending more money on this bs.
Is anyone else having gallery issues. I can't add people to a household or get lots from the gallery and place into the world. The game will freeze if I try.
