I ran the update for Xbox today 6/18/25 and every time my sim leaves the lot and returns the games crashes - no mods as it is Xbox - has occurred about 5 times today every time is after my sim visits...

Hellooo, okay so I play on the PS5, and i have every single expansion pack EA has ever created, and i’m not sure which expansion pack started this frustrating issue, but about 4 months ago, the Sims for me became unplayable. The game crashes EVERY single time i save now.. or when traveling to another lot, the game freezes on the loading screen or just completely crashes. I literally can’t even get through ONE in-game day without this issue occuring. I’ve unfortunately had to abandon my old beloved save files for new ones, just for the same exact issue to happen again. It’s SOOO incredibly frustrating and feels like a smack in the face to me as a customer.. Because with the amount of money i paid for this game, you would think the gaming experience would be next-level, but nope. Please fix this!!!! It makes me not wanna play this game anymore and it’s heartbreaking because i’ve been playing with this franchise ever since i was a child, and it’s my all-time favorite game ever.
Also! another issue that other console players experience is the annoying automatic graphic adjustments.
Example: Say that I actually AM able to travel to another lot without crashing. As I load into the lot, everything around my sim appears blurry (furniture, tattoos, wall/floor paint, pictures/paintings). And at first it’s tolerable because it isn’t extremely noticeable, but the issue is: the game renders the graphics down every single time you save the game or travel to a different lot, leaving the game looking insanely blotchy and difficult to ignore. It’s an absolute eye sore and breaks the immersion. Immensely.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, I seriously hope that you’re able to fix these frustrating issues, because i love love love this game and all i want is a functioning gameplay experience… Not another pack, not another mini update that really only applies to PC (like the memory boost feature! As a console player i would LOVE that on the PS5, because i feel like it’d fix a lot of issues that us console players face now!)

i play on xbox and the whole crashing while traveling thing has been happening like every couple times i travel for months now, and ever since the update on 9/23 it’s been crashing when i save every few times. i’ve also had issues with it crashing when i add a new sim to the household in CAS (ive started just saving the household to my library between each sim) and sometimes in CAS the cursor just disappears and i can’t click anything even to save and end up having to just close the whole game down. console players really are kind of neglected in the game, despite certain bugs only happening to us, it sucks.
I’ve had this same issue for months now, also an xbox console player. Putting a thumbs up on yours in hopes that we finally get an answer. I’m just starting to believe that the game is entirely too old and a Sims 5 with updated coding is needed. My game is constantly turning off and going into the main menu
