I started having similar problems a few months ago, and it just got worse and worse. Now i can´t enter my main family household from my legacy save, I can not enter even in build mode. It seems ill have to start a new save with my two legacys of 7 and 8 gens 😩Fortunately, since the problems started, I've gotten into the habit of saving my Sims and my lots in my gallery with every little change i´ve made; otherwise, I wouldn't even be able to move them to another save.

This is the console controll change fiasco all over again. Notice how we all complained about that was messing up our game and they just ignored us

Unfortunately, starting a new save doesn’t help either. I tried it, and the game crashed even in a new save. For me, this basically means the end of playing The Sims. Console players will never have as many voices as PC players. It’s painful and it really frustrates me how developers seem to look down on us.
I played Sims 1, Sims 2, and Sims 3 on PC, and now I have Sims 4 on PS5. I don’t own a gaming PC and even if I did, I refuse on principle to buy The Sims 4 and all the DLC all over again on PC. We deserve some kind of compensation. There are definitely enough of us affected. Xbox players are having the same issues too. Not everyone finds this page. Some people can’t write a complaint in English. Some don’t even know where to report problems.
So no, they won’t fix it in December either. This is simply the end. I’m basically just counting the days until Inzoi comes out on PS5. I love the Assassin’s Creed series, but I’ve already finished everything there and I need a game like The Sims - something that can be played "forever". So there’s nothing left for us to do except wait for Inzoi to release. It’s supposed to come out at the beginning of 2026 on PS5.

I bet you that Inzoi will be released on PS5 sooner than EA manages to fix The Sims on PS5 - if they ever fix it at all.

Hey have you tried deleting all save data on playstation and then starting a new save file.. trust it sucks to do that but I tried it myself and I was able to play sims again

Whilst I haven't tried it I am preparing for that eventuality. Having said that I have seen post from people saying they have started brand new saves and still have the same problem

I can confirm that the game still crashes upon trying to save. I started a brand new save, made a family, and put down a house I'd built from the gallery, then tried to save only for the game to immediately crash.
I am tired.

Further testing, which tested my patience, has tentatively revealed a link between the crashing and the move objects cheat. As in, if I try to save on a lot that has any objects placed with that cheat, the game instantly crashes. If I move said objects to a proper place, the game doesn't crash. Yet, anyway.

Oddly enough the only time I get minimal crashing is free build without a family in play. And I use moveobject cheats excessively and I can save 80% safely.
Attempted play in a prebuilt maxis house and it was an instant crash

I think the problem is complex and likely different for many people. For me, not using the MOO cheat seems to have solved the crashing, but it probably won't work for everyone.
