[XB/PS] Endless Load Times

After I click "resume game" on the title screen, the loading bar gets so close to the end but then just does not move after this. I have waited almost an hour and nothing, zilch. I also tried doing it through load game, got to the map, clicked my Sim's house and same exact thing. The Plumbob still moves, the writing changes on the screen and the music still plays, but the bar never goes past the point in the photo. It started happening after the new updates with the 150+ bug fixes, but not right away. I was able to play once, but the next time I tried to hop on, it did not work. I have tried unplugging my Xbox and  turning the game on and off several times and I only have one save game I actually play with that only has 2GB or so storage, so it can't be a storage issue. I also only play The Sims on my Xbox and no other games. I have the disc in the Xbox, however, I think now I play online as sometimes the game would say there was no disc, so I changed to the other way. 

I really, really want to play and this is such an incredible bummer- any help would be so valuable!
