Haven't been able to play The Sims 3 since i built my new pc in december
Hi since I built my new pc in December I have not been able to get the Sims 3 to work. I am getting the "a serious error has occurred while loading world" error when trying to start a new game or load an existing one and it won't let me play at all. I have tried turning off firewall, pausing syncing on one drive, taking ownership of documents on command prompt. Nothing has worked. The only thing that "worked" for a few days was creating a local windows account on my pc but it was taking up alot of storage and was creating issues with shared files and applications between accounts and I had to delete it and scrub it from my registry and file system completely to fix the issue. I don't want a local account. I want one account on my pc with my microsoft account attached to it. I don't want to have to deal with a second account and all the issues and confusion with it just to play one game that should work on my main account. Every other sims game works on my main account. This includes The Sims and The Sims 2. I do not mean the re-releases, I mean I got the original games working on my PC with workarounds and hacks and mods. It is just The Sims 3 that refuses to work. The only time i got to play it was for a few days with the local account that I don't want to have to re-create. Now you might wonder why I haven't just managed the backup settings for onedrive for the sims 3 or the documents folder but I have indeed tried that, and every time I try to go into onedrive and change settings to not backup documents folder it doesn't even give me the option, it looks like I might have to uninstall icloud or something but it looks like the folder isnt even backing up anyway so how could that fix anything? Gaining the ability to toggle something off that isnt even on.. how could that fix the issue? I have added a photo below of exactly what I encounter when attempting this, as you can see it won't even let me click on any files and according to them, DOCUMENTS ISN'T EVEN BACKED UP AS IS. This doesn't even make sense as onedrive is clearly the culprit seeing as making a local account "fixed" it. Also, according to command prompt, the directory for my documents folder does NOT include Onedrive in the path, which baffles me further as how is onedrive even the problem then. At a loss at what to do. Im afraid to do anything too drastic and irreversible that could cause other issues and/or not even work at the end of the day. Please help me.
TECHNICAL ISSUES AND BUG
Hi! I'm going to list the issues I’m currently experiencing that haven’t been solved. I already submitted a ticket for this, but nothing has helped or fixed the problems. I will bump my message so this can be resolved immediately. Firstly, my preteen and teen Sim is unable to go to school. Although the game indicates he has been going to school, he hasn't attended for a long time. My preteen statement is that he has already gone to school today, even though he hasn't. The same problem occurs with my adult Sims. They are also unable to go to work; the game claims they have already gone to work, but they haven't. This issue affects some of my character. This is happening to the first half of my Sims The only rewards I can collect are the daily check-ins; I’m unable to access the daily rewards button. Unfortunately, I don’t have a screenshot of the game crashing, which causes my screen to turn pink. However, the game remains very slow, despite having a good internet connection and device. I continue to experience glitches on my screen as well. I have tried multiple times to change the careers of my Sims, or maybe you'll say that there are already too many in their current job positions, but no. They aren't working elsewhere, which complicates things. The main issue is that my Sims are not allowed to go to work at all, even when their needs are fully met. It always indicates that they have already gone to work, even if they haven’t. The same issue occurs with my teen and preteen Sims; they aren’t allowed to go to school, as it always states that they've already attended, regardless of whether they actually went or if their needs are fulfilled. I am not receiving my daily rewards. I can't even click the button for daily rewards, just the daily check-ins.Nearly 6 months later with multiple updates and it’s still bugged?
I wrote about some bugs I had encountered during my first play through of the legacy edition since its release, that was 5 months ago.. I had stopped playing the game to allow for some updates to hopefully be able to play without so many bugs only to come back twice now since then and after multiple updates and I still have all of the same bugs? Have they even bothered to fix anything or is it just my game? I still can’t cook anything on the stove without my sim resetting and the food disappearing, I still can’t order food when on another community lot, I still get bugged with stairs, I still can’t be seated correctly when on a vacation lot..? The game is still basically unplayable to me and it’s been 5 months!?! What the heck were the updates for? any help would be amazing as I’m so frustrated at this point, I just want to play and enjoy TS2!!!toddlers' heads are completely messed up!
since the last update- Most of the hairs are impossible to use on toddlers because their heads are completely messed up, their bald heads keep sticking out of the hair, it's horrifying! Please fix this. Speaking of toddlers, please add an action where we can pick them up and hold them like we do with babies! A LOT of people want this, I beg you! ( and we need babies - toddlers interactions too bruh 😞 )
The Sims 2 Legacy: Vacation issues still exist
Before telling the problem, I should say that I've all the patches and updates installed until June. I've started playing with my household like always but after reaching the hotel and exploring the vacation town, when I get the taxi back to the Hotel lot my Loading Screen just got infinite and my game crashed and I couldn't save my progression and after selecting my household to play again, they've got stuck in the hotel lot and I couldn't load it anymore. I thought this problem was solved with the last patches. But now I know that I've spend too many money to a broken game. I also uninstalled the game after this. I was so disappointed that I just deleted everything. I beg to the EA Manager and all employees that works at Sims Studio and Maxis, fix this game! You've already re-released these game like a trash and now after many updates and patches this game still have many issues.Still paintings don't work in Sims 2 Legacy
When I want a Sim to paint another Sim / a portrait as a still life on canvas with the easel it doesn't work anymore. It worked fine with the ultimate collection and with the CD-ROMs. The frame for the still life is around the scene I want to be painted, but when the Sims paints, it's not the whole thing I selected, it's just a small part of it. You can see it in the screenshot. I always thought it was very nice, that my sims had big paintings of their family, wedding, kids, becoming a vampire etc. in their house, depending on their lifestyle. Does anybody else have that problem? For me it was a very important feature and I really hope it gets fixed.
The Sims 2 Legacy keeps crashing
When I play The Sims 2 Legacy edition, it crashes as soon as I enter a household. I have no mods or custom content in my game. My PC is fully updated and has the best drivers, and is completely capable of running the program. I have been repelled to play this game due to the horrible number of crashes it has. As a result of this, I have timed how long it takes to crash. It is about 28 seconds from entering a household. There is no chance of corruption due to the fact that I have not used cheats or any weird manipulation of the game files. Help would be appreciated, thank you.
Unable to click items
Hi there, I am looking for support with fixing an error in my Sims 3. Out of nowhere I am suddenly unable to select certain items such as the bed, shower and floor when playing as one of my sims. This is the first time this has happened and is only happening with the one sim. I have read somethings online and have tried doing the following: Reset the sim Reset the objects Reset the lot Evict the sim Edit town/ evict the household Delete Cache from Sims 3 Folder (Which deleted all installed Custom Content) Downloaded some Nraa's folder Ensured my game is up to date on EA Restarted my laptop Age the sim up Deleted the family/ personal inventory Nothing I have tried has fixed the issue, please help me :(SIMS 2 STILL LEGACY WON'T OPEN SINCE PATCH (ITS BEEN 4 MONTHS)
I'm reposting this because this is ridiculous Every time I try to open the game in the EA APP nothing happens. I press play, the EA APP closes (as usual), but then the game doesn't load and then I'm brought back into the EA APP. I don't get a pop-up or error message or anything. This also happens with the Sims 1 legacy but not the Sims 4. I tried repairing the game and even just reinstalling it nothing changed. I also don't have mods. This all started happening after the March 14 Patch UPDATE: I haven't been able to launch the game since March 14 and I'm not sure what to do there aren't any solutions online. I know other people have this issue too but there seems to be no fix. I even waited for more updates, still no fix.My The Sims 1 won't stop screen flickering
I got The Sims 1 Legacy and now I can't play it cause everytime I get into the game my screen starts to flicker, coming into the game and my PC Desktop. It keeps flashing and changing screens non-stop, from the game interface to my desktop screen, and vice versa. Could anyone who has faced this issue help me?
