Sims 3 keeps crashing
Around 4 days ago, I purchased a brand new m2 Mac with 16 GB of Ram. My Sims 3 started crashing in CAS, force quitting and bringing me to home screen. I thought maybe it was the custom content, but I knew it wasn't my specs. I have played on silicone Mac before, an m1 even and I had no issues (minus IP ofc). I also eliminated specs being an issue because I redownloaded the game and before I noticed it crashing, it runs like butter. The Mac wasn't preowned or anything it's literally brand new so I am so confused and annoyed as to why this is happening. I am yet to be able to make it through CAS without it crashing which is beyond frustrating especially with a new device. Sims 3 on EA App won't launch.
First of all I'd like to start by saying how bad the EA Operators are on the live chat. They told me to restart the PC two times after reinstalling Direct X9 and clearing the cache on the EA App and then they closed the conversations without giving me an active solution. So, I have this issue with The Sims 3 that I bought this morning for the EA App. The game appears in my library. When I click on launch... Well, a pop up from EA App appears and says "loading" then.. nothing. Nothing happens. I am tired of this, I don't know what else to do. I tried launghing the game directly from the Bin folder with "Run as Administrator' and again... nothing. I see that I don't have the TS3W.exe file in the bin.. only the TS3.exe file.. could that be a reason? What can I do about it? The EA App literally installed a non working game on my PC for which I had to pay. What can I do? :/ I also attached my DxDiag report
Sims 2 Food Bug + Career Bug
Hi all! I posted a couple of days ago in regard to the bug where after Sims cook food, they reset themselves and the food disappears from their hands. Unfortunately, after the recent patch the food bug is still happening. I've also noticed a bug where one of my sims is not being paid after they get back home. My two Sims (Don and Nina) both have the same job, but one is getting the notification saying what money they've earned + promotions while the other doesn't receive any notification. Is this happening to anyone else? I don't know if this was happening pre-patch. I've downloaded cc properly, placed it in the correct folder and enabled cc in game. I've restarted my game over 20 times and cc still isn't showing up in game. On Steam, I'm seeing other people say that they are having a similar issue. I hope this issue will be patches soon. If someone has any idea on what to do, please let me know. Thanks.
Game crash upon viewing vacant home
Just recently loaded up Sims 3 after about a year away. Everything was going great, until I was in Town View, reacquainting myself with my Sim's neighbors. I had remembered there was this one lot/house I had kept empty because I am planning to (eventually) move him into there and didn't want anyone else moving into there in the meantime. Anyway, I wanted to have a look at it, because I couldn't quite remember the details of it. However, the moment I focused in on that lot, the game crashed. Just poof, gone, crashed back to desktop. I recall I had this happen before, a year-plus ago when I last played this save as well. Obviously if I just avoid looking at that lot during game play, I have no issues. But it still is a bit weird. I do not have any problem focusing/zooming on occupied lots/houses. It's only that vacant one that it seems to happen.
Specific hair makes my game crash
Not my photo attached, but trying to choose this specific hair (long straight hair with right-hand bangs/fringe) crashes my game. Not sure which pack (University Life?), but for me it is the very first, top left hair on the first page. Happened multiple times in a row after messing with facial features, click on it to try hairstyles for the Sim and boom, game crash. I went back and chose other hairs first and then this one again to confirm it was this hair specifically, not any hair, that is causing the issue. oh, and … are we ever going to get normal sized UI back? Would be pretty cool to not need a magnifying glass.
