Recently purchased pack content not appearing in game
With the last sale I bought a few different packs, one of them being the Businesses and Hobbies expansion pack. Everything updated and downloaded, but upon entering my game to build a home business I realized none of the content from the Businesses and Hobbies pack was in my game. All the other packs were, but in the build mode filter pack list it stated I didn't own Businesses and Hobbies. I tried repairing my game through the EA app, uninstalling and reinstalling just the Businesses and Hobbies pack, and contacting tech support, but to no avail it is still not showing up in my game. It says in my EA library that it is downloaded and installed however. Any ideas on what to try next? Photos attached show the in game build mode and EA download manger. I don't play with any mods or anything.Solved82Views0likes5CommentsCannot Download MY Lots from Library into New Save?
Just prior to the March 17 update, I decided to create a new game save with plans to transfer all my builds and sims into this new game. It's time consuming because I have sims and lots in every neighborhood that I want to import into this new save, but it's worth it. SO it was going great until the March 18 "fix"! Now I cannot download my built from scratch lots, using only my owned EA content (I don't use any CC or Mods...) from my library into completely clean lots in my brand new save file. I have done lots of troubleshooting, even asking AI for help and nothing works. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the entire game. I have cleared the cache. I have checked the marketplace to make sure that none of my packs are deactivated. It still doesn't work at all. I even started a brand new save to try it again. And it still doesn't work. AI suggested that there was a syncing problem on Macs and that I should try to resave my lots into the library again (post March 18 "fix"), then try downloading those saved lots into a brand new game save. I tried it, and I still get the exact same error messages: Even though it recognizes that I OWN everything in the lot, when I try to download it, I get a "Content Not Installed" message, then when I click download anyway, it seems like it's going to download, but then a little red "System Error" message flashes and nothing downloads despite multiple tries. And here's the thing I just discovered -- this is only a problem on residential lots where a family is currently occupying the home when I saved it to the gallery. I was able to place another residential lot I built from scratch (despite the "Content Not Installed" message), and everything seems to be where it should be despite that "Content Not Installed" message. What can we do to fix this? Because it's really not practical to boot every single family out in order to save lots, especially for the residential rentals where there are multiple families! Has anyone else encountered this and come up with a solution? FYI, the fact that it seems to coincide with stricter pack ownership checks connected to the new marketplace has completely turned me off from ever using the marketplace. This is just an AWFUL glitch and I'm guessing trying to use any content purchased from the marketplace will just make it worse...Game crashes when trying to compare cards/ strategies etc from picks.
So after unlocking some a rare strategy choice card, the moment I try an compare any card to what I already have the game crashes right out to my home xbox series x screen. Doesn't matter which card I choose. Kicks me out of the game. Really annoying when trying to progress. Edited to add: the game also needs to be rebooted after starting almost all of the time after booting up. As soon as I choose UT and it shows any rewards, the screens instantly freeze. Tried waiting various times with no success. Always needs to be restarted.8Views0likes0CommentsExpansion Pack Worlds showing as not installed
I have been playing since the pre-release and own almost every EP for The Sims 4. This is the first time I've encountered this issue. I recently purchased three more packs and downloaded them immediately. I made no changes. I don't use any CC or mods. I checked my PC and can see the packs listed there: EP18, EP19, & EP20. It all looks great. However, when I try to manage the worlds in my game, they're reflecting as "World not installed." Honestly, there could be other content from these packs not working as well, I just don't know. This is the most blatant example of an issue. I've repaired my game three times. I've uninstalled and reinstalled everything. I manually deleted the new files from my file explorer on my PC and redownloaded them. I've cleared my cache. I've restarted numerous times. I'm at a loss at this point. I don't know what else to try, aside from uninstalling and deleting everything an starting from scratch. I'd really rather not do that on on whim.i cant access the different worlds i have downloaded
ive just downloaded the sims on my pc again after having given up on it in the past, and since i downloaded all the dlcs i have on the game they were first showing up were inacessible, and saying i needed to restart the ea app. that didnt work, so i searched it up on this forum and followed a tutorial. so then i deleted the dlc downloads from the steam download and downloaded them again from the ea app. when i finished downloading them all and started the game up again they werent showing up at all. help please i just want to play the game i hate eaNew Reported Issue - "Not enough Space to install"
Hello! There are several user reports upon reinstalling the game that several Packs will not install and instead give a "Not Enough Space to Download" error. This is happening when there is plenty of space available, and of course no mods installed yet. I am hoping this post can serve as a place to compile info regarding this Error. If you are having this error and are willing to share some details Windows or Mac? HOW did you uninstall? (Via EA/Steam, Control Panel, manually deleting files, and uninstaller program, etc) Which Packs are not installing? Have you changed your install path? I hope we can get you back to Simming soon! Thank you for anyone who contributes to this thread!
