Game is glitched/won't load after installing a script mod.
Yesterday I installed adult mod to try it out after seeing the reviews on it's good quality and compatibility with the base game. At first things seemed okay until actions would cancel themselves almost immediately after starting (both for my own sim and other townies). I exited the game and as soon as I tried loading back in it sent me to the map selection with two glitching squares in the bottom corner, then pressing play on my existing household caused the game to crash. I decided to delete the mod and repair the game and the same thing happened. Then I decided to load a new game to see if that could change anything but it would pause on the loading screen when I pressed play on a new household. I tried restarting both my computer and the EA app but nothing seems to be working. Is there any way this can be fixed?Certain Showers cause game time to freeze
So, I was playing Britechester in the dorm with spa showers. Everything was fine for the first four weeks, but then a bug started with the time when it was frozen. All the sims were frozen, and I couldn't save or access the CAS. I thought this only happened with unique showers (many had this for a long time), but it happens with these too. The first three showers definitely cause this bug, the last one is questionable, but most likely too. It's not the mods that are breaking. I changed the shower and everything was fine (before that, the time would freeze every day, now I've played for five days and haven't had a single problem). So If anyone else has this problem, it's because of this. I couldn't find any reports, but this was definitely discussed about three years ago. my sim gave birth to twins, after I named them only the first baby was in the game. I tried looking in the house inventory and fixing the game but I didnt find anything. When I looked on the family tree there also was only one child. I dont have any mods and it isnt the first time I had this problem.PLEASEEE help this is extremly annoying60Views1like4CommentsScreen turns white
I can start the game or be in the middle of playing it when all of the sudden the game crashes and turns "WHITE". This appears to be happening more frequently especially after purchasing the Sims 4 Royal Masquerade Bundle. I would attach an attachment for this but considering it's going to show a WHITE screen, it is completely pointless. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Could someone from EA Games please assess this situation and resolve it? Thank you Edit By crinrict: Adjusted Title14Views0likes1CommentHello I'm back again

Hi, I'm experiencing a major performance issue that seems to affect a lot of players (I asked my community and many confirmed having the same problem). When I first launch the game, everything runs smoothly. Menus like Needs, Inventory, and Aspirations open instantly. Build/Buy mode is fine too, with maybe a tiny freeze the first time, but that’s normal. The issue is: the longer I play, the worse the game performs. - After around 30 minutes, the menus start to feel a bit slower. - After about an hour, the game becomes extremely laggy: - Opening the Needs panel takes a few seconds. - Build/Buy mode freezes for 5–6 seconds before opening. - The Eyedropper tool has a delay of around 2 seconds. - UI and general interactions become very sluggish. The only fix is to completely restart the game. After relaunching, everything is smooth again — but only temporarily. After another 30–60 minutes, the problem comes back. This isn’t a hardware issue. My PC setup: - Intel Core i9-12900K - 64 GB DDR5 RAM - NVIDIA RTX 4090 - Game installed on SSD - No mods, no CC - All expansion packs installed I also tend to play fast-paced, usually on speed 3. In one hour of real-time gameplay, I can go through 10–14 Sim days. It seems like the game is slowly filling up memory or cache that never clears unless I restart. It would be great to know if this has already been reported or tracked by the dev team, because it makes long play sessions really frustrating. Thanks!13KViews1156likes117Comments[XB/PS] Endless Load Times
During the past 1 year I encountered endless loading multiple times. I play on console (PS4, so please don't ask me if I removed mods/CC because I can't even have any) and I own many packs: most expansion, gameplay, stuff packs and since last month 3 kits. I always have the latest version of the game, so that shouldn't be causing any problems. If I played for hours or notice minor bugs such as keys malfunctioning (no, it's not related to my keyboard) it's more likely that I'll get stuck in endless loading. I'm not saying loading screen on purpose because it also applies to saving. So far I was able to salvage these situations by just saving it as a save file instead of a lot but last time the save files didn't load either. My best bet was to save it to my library because I suspected it would cause an infinite loading screen, if I went to manage worlds anyways. The upload still froze. Recently, I had a lot of infinite loading screens. It has also happened during the current event multiple times. The only pattern I recognize is that it occurs either while traveling or while going from build mode to manage worlds. It didn't bother me that much but during the past month it has happened a lot. Hope this can be fixed soon. Edit By crinrict: Adjusted Title to fit old bug report.3.9KViews49likes196CommentsWhite screen problem
Hi everyone, Ive been struggling with a white screen problem for a while. After a game update, I noticed that after running the game for a few minutes the game freezes and this white screen shows up. Obviously I tried deleting all the mods, cc etc. I tried restarting the game, even undownloaded it. The game runs well without the cc and mods (well, one time the white screen appeard even with no old nor new cc in the game but now it seems to work without them). Ive tried downloading new cc, on a completely new game, but the problem continues. I can play for 30 minutes, the white screen appears. I quit the game, open it again and the playtime lasts for a few minutes less. In the end, when I try it a few more times, the game freezes even at the loading screen. I feel like I've broken the game by starting an update with my cc and mods still in the mods folder (Ive learnt my lesson now dont worry..). I feel like playing the game makes no sense anymore, but as much as I'm trying to repair it, nothing seems to work. I'm using a laptop, but its a really decent one lol it's not a macbook, and the game was working for two years, catching all the updates that were needed. I was using mods like **bleep**, basemental drugs, and some other less popular ones, but when i thought the mods with scripts might be causing it, i completely deleted everything. Obviously cleared all the cache, and everything that could be causing it. Please give me some advice cause im really losing it (and im in need to have a playing session)SolvedSims 4 repeatedly stuck on infinite loading screens on M4 MacBook Air
I'm experiencing intermittent infinite loading that has made The Sims 4 nearly unplayable on my Mac. The game launches normally, and I can sometimes load into Live Mode, Manage Worlds, or Build Mode. However, even if I can do that, within minutes of playing, one of the loading transitions becomes stuck indefinitely. The plumbob and loading screen keep moving, and the music keeps playing, but the game never finishes loading, so I have to force-quit it. The same transitions might work once or twice and then fail on the next attempt. This has happened when: Going from Live Mode to Manage Worlds Returning from Build Mode on a non-household lot to Manage Worlds Traveling between lots Loading into Live Mode after CAS Reopening a save Mac specifications: 2025 MacBook Air Apple M4 chip 16 GB memory macOS 26.6, build 25G72 I first repaired The Sims 4 through the EA app. Then I let the game generate a completely new Sims 4 folder and tested a brand-new vanilla save and household without adding any of my previous files. I then completely uninstalled The Sims 4, cleared the EA app cache, restarted the Mac, and downloaded the game again from scratch. The problem still occurs with no mods or custom content, a completely fresh Sims 4 folder, brand-new saves and households, every pack deactivated, and only the three base-game worlds available. I have additionally tested the following: A different macOS user profile macOS Safe Mode Fullscreen and Windowed display modes Vertical Sync on and off Lowered graphics settings Laptop Mode Autosave disabled A fully updated version of macOS Adjusted Privacy & Security permissions and restarted Disabled iCloud syncing for Desktop and Documents so the active Sims 4 folder is local Running Apple Diagnostics The game doesn't create a lastException.txt or lastCrash.txt when it becomes stuck. My EA Error Report ID is: 51dc9b7a-0c92-4a8b-80aa-9ec85b0016e1 I apologize for the lengthy post, but I'd really like to get this fixed, as the game is currently unplayable and it seems I'm not the only Mac user with this issue recently.
