[CURRENT ISSUE] Anti-Virus blocking User Folder (Screenshots/Gallery/Mods..)
There's currently an issue where some virus programs (namely AVG and AVAST) are blocking the user folder. There are several symptoms currently for this issue Taking Screenshots and Videos doesn't work as the game is unable to write them to the screenshot/recorded video folder Mods/CC and other changes in the options stay how they currently are cause the game is unable to write the changes to the file Gallery has red X showing instead of pictures. I assume that's the same problem as the game is unable to download the thumbnail pictures to the cache folder GameVersion.txt shows the wrong game version To solve this you need to add the following files as an exception to your Antivirus Program (see instructions for your particular program on how to do this). C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop\EADesktop.exe C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin\TS4_x64.exe For DX9: C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin\TS4_DX9_x64.exe Paths may vary depending on your installation. Both Avast/AVG have sections for Ransomware. You need to add it there. Please see instructions here: Add Exceptions to Anti Virus Programs If you are using Windows Defender, the Ransomware settings have similar effects. Details on how to solve this here: Windows 10 Defender – Controlled Folder Access If this doesn't help, try deleting your cache files: Delete Cache Files and move options.ini to the desktop. If you have further issues, please state which program your using in your post. Dear EA Sports, I was advised by the EA Sports Support team (EA Help) to raise my concerns and issues with the game on the EA Forums, and I was assured that developers and relevant teams are active here. However, despite creating multiple posts outlining my concerns, none of them have been acknowledged by EA staff. I have worked in a corporate environment for over 25 years, and I must say that this level of communication falls well below the standard one would normally expect from a customer support structure. What I find particularly confusing is the process itself. EA Help, which is meant to support customers, redirects players to these forums to raise issues. Yet once customers follow that direction, it appears that no meaningful engagement takes place. From a customer perspective, this creates a situation where players are effectively moved from one support channel to another without their concerns actually being addressed. The only time I received a response was when a post included a three-letter word that apparently violated forum rules. That post received attention immediately, yet the actual concern raised in the post was not addressed in the response. This sends a rather unfortunate message that moderation is active, but meaningful engagement with the issues themselves is not. As a long-standing customer, this is disappointing. I have been playing EA football titles since the very first FIFA, well before the PlayStation era, and I have remained a loyal player for decades. Because of that, I find it difficult to understand why concerns raised by players here receive so little acknowledgement. I fully understand that companies must be careful when responding publicly. However, complete silence is also a response, and it is not a particularly reassuring one. If EA Help directs players to the forums, then the forums should function as a place where issues are at least acknowledged or discussed. Otherwise, the process risks appearing circular — players are redirected to the forums for help, but once they arrive, no help is provided. I would respectfully ask that this process be reconsidered, and that concerns raised here receive at least some level of acknowledgement from the relevant teams. I have earned badges and profile levels on this forum over time, but those are secondary. What matters far more is meaningful communication with the player community. Could EA staff please clarify whether posts raising gameplay concerns are reviewed and whether players can expect responses here? For clarity, could a member of the EA community team or moderation team please confirm whether gameplay concerns raised on this forum are reviewed by the development team, and whether players should realistically expect feedback or acknowledgement when such concerns are raised here? Understanding how this process works would be very helpful for players who have been directed here by EA Help. Thank you for your time and consideration.1.5KViews12likes55CommentsQuestion about front door
Is a front door only able to be on the first floor? I downloaded a winter cabin from the gallery. The first floor is 90% buried by earth and is more of an above ground basement with a side door. I been trying to switch the front door to the actual front door which is on the second floor, but the option isn't even showing up. It would be easy enough to remove the first floor and make it a basement, but that would mean having it completely underground and ruin the aesthetic of it. I'm hoping there's a way to allow me to have the front door be on the second floor.Ranked Mode and Persistent Servers are mandatory for BF6
if DICE adds a proper Ranked Mode to the classic multiplayer (instead of limiting it just to REDSEC), it would be a massive win for the game. Here is why this is crucial for BF6: Long-term Motivation (The Grind): Right now, progression completely dies once you unlock all the weapons. Grinding through ranks would keep people hooked for months and seasons to come. No More Lobby Chaos: Casual modes always mix pro-level stacks with absolute beginners. A separate ranked system would finally offer balanced matches against players of equal skill (proper SBMM). True Squad Teamwork: Winning is everything in ranked. This will actually force players to use mics, cooperate, and play their class roles (heals, ammo, repairs) instead of just farming K/D. Perfect Fit for Tactical Modes: A ranked system would breathe new life into tighter, competitive formats like Rush, Domination, or infantry-only modes. In my opinion, this would prevent the game from getting stale and give the competitive community a dedicated place to sweat. if DICE wants Battlefield 6 to succeed, bringing back the Server Browser and Persistent Servers is non-negotiable. Here is why these features are mandatory for the game: Community Building: Persistent servers allow players to return to the same community every day, make friends, and build regular squads. Live admins can also instantly ban hackers, keeping the matches clean. Freedom of Choice: A server browser eliminates the matchmaking lottery. Players can choose their preferred map, game mode, ticket count, and exact ping instead of being forced into maps they hate. Game Longevity: Custom servers keep Battlefield games alive for decades after official support ends. This is exactly why Battlefield 3,4,1,V still have active player bases today. Custom Rulesets: Server owners can tailor the experience by creating infantry-only rotations, banning annoying weapons, or tweaking vehicle spawn timers to keep the gameplay fresh. Because of these missing features, you lost such a huge percentage of players in less than a year, and you continue to ignore what your players actually want. There are also still bugs that need fixing, which I hope you will resolve over time.11Views0likes0CommentsBroken and Updated Sims 4 Mods and CC: patch 1.126, July 21, 2026

I’ll start by saying that I don’t feel discouraged or anything that I’m not having a lot of good matches, because I’ve gotten fairly good at various games, including first-person shooters, through practice and hard work. However, I will note that I have high functioning autism, which impacts my fine motor skills and reaction time (though it also gives me plenty of strengths). I’ve been practicing my aim and trying to improve my reaction time based on the specific movement speed of the game and other factors, but I feel like there are also other things I’m probably missing when it comes to Battlefield 6 specifically. Does anyone have any tips or tricks on how to improve my skill level in my case? (cm edit updated title for vis)434Views6likes13Comments
