Boycott MADDEN 26/27
To all the PC players out there who haven’t been able to play online game modes for almost a month now - I highly recommend we collectively don’t purchase Madden 27. On top of that, go completely free to play on MUT. I think it’s insane that for one, we can’t create a ticket to get individual support with a tech and direct-personalized compensation for our losses. We’re just directed to forums for a “quick fix - on field visuals” that literally only helps offline play. Two, can’t request a refund if you’ve owned the game longer than a day. Can’t request refunds on purchases made within the time frame of this glitch - I would not have bought packs if I knew I couldn’t even play the game. Three, they mark the discussions as “solved” to save face. Little to no updates for us regarding the matter - just “solved” for the sake of acknowledgment paired with a weak tweet regarding the matter. Still allow us to buy packs and waste our money on players who will seemingly be out of META by the time the issue is resolved - and with no warning that the game is unplayable. Miss out on an entire season of Ranked, losing out on rewards that impact our teams moving forward. Not to mention missing out on, what usually is, one of the best promos of the year. I’ve played and loved madden for years, but this is literally abysmal. Disgusting. Prolonged without reason. Could they not have prioritized us by rolling the update back to when it was playable? Yes they could have. So long Madden, it’s been horrid knowing you. I think the only way they save themselves is by way of heavy compensation. All I’m saying is it better be good… And in case any of you were wondering, there are some PC players that are completely unaffected by the glitch. Knowing this, I wouldn’t expect anything from EA. This has always been a minor annoyance -Why is my DB swatting with the wrong hand? From pop-warner, DB's are taught to swat with the inside arm, so that the outside arm is able to make a tackle if you miss the swat. This results in sometimes the DB mysteriously swatting behind the receiver: https://youtu.be/SKp3rsOq54g Solution: - Add intelligence to the animation to use the correct hand or Add a settings menu toggle to allow for some kind of modifier that allows the user to swat with either the left or right hand. When this is enabled, L1 & R1 become left swat & right swat, respectively, while X remains just a normal swat driven by the animation engine. This is a thread I wanted to start so everyone on here can have their ideas seen and heard by EA_Shepard and other EA Staff while also having a single, organized place to share them. This in turn makes it easier to read and organize these thoughts in order to pass on to dev teams. Please be respectful and feel free to put down anything you would want to see in a coming update or in newer games to come. I'll start by adding these ideas: Downloadable Rosters & Draft Classes from past years for nostalgic Franchises. Customizable Divisions and Schedules like what is found in CFB (Great for Fantasy). Reincluding the option of Coaching Legends for Coach Mode (Also Great for Fantasy). Possibly reinclude custom facial uploads for custom coaches in Coach Mode. Revamped and reincluded Player/Owner Modes. - Ultimately to summarize this: For Owner Mode, I'd like to see Team Builder tied more exclusively to a new version of this where customization of everything from the ground up is key for the most customizable experience ever. For Player Mode, I'd like what little works well within Superstar to be tied to a new, revamped Player Mode, where the storylines and cutscenes are more included here, and less in other modes. This would include being able to choose an existing player within a franchise, and focus exclusively on their career; OR, create a new player and start as you would within Superstar. I'd like to see Team Builder weaved into relocation for all online modes and somehow introduced into offline. Inclusion of holding the L2/LT to Switch Stick to minimize switching by accident, especially while trying to pass rush. Include more cities and teams for Relocation. Cities where franchises already exist like Miami, LA, or Detroit, as well as new ones like Boston, Phoenix, or Birmingham. More Stadium options for Relocation. Reinclude Build a Stadium within Team Builder. I'm talking from scratch...not just editing the field. Reinclude the ability to edit and create more custom uniform combinations. Within the Edit Rosters section of the Creation Center, more flexibility to edit a player's contract, abilities, etc, would be nice. Better Training Camp - Introduce some ability to gain physical STR, SPD, AGI, COD, by introducing some of the game found in Superstar like the 3Cone, Weightlifting, 40YD, etc. - This is where mini-games shine. Make games open for more players to train and have them more focused on gaining skill points and less on XP and Rookie Reps. This is a great way to help maintain the physical ability of Vets, or take your high-level Superstars to the next level. Revamp Weekly Training - Make this less focused on mini-games and tie it more to Practice Mode and gaining XP/Rookie Reps. The way the have Wear & Tear worked into this is nice; Now just optimize it. Optimize Coach Central and Coaching Abilities. - It's a bit to type but my thoughts on this can be found in my "M26 Franchise Feedback thread" thread. I feel that's a pretty good start for now. EA_Kent i don't if anyone is gonna read this, but the reason these trophies/achievements are not working is because the Yardage tracker in franchise mode stops tracking yardage after reaching about 1,023 yards, effectively preventing the trophies/achievements from unlocking, can you guys maybe try to fix the yardage tracker before abandoning this game? Having an issue with Madden 26 on PS5 when loading its shows "MISCSERVICEGATEWAY_ERR_SYSTEM" then after a while its says "CONNECTION LOST". Ea, please, ADD OFFENSIVE AND DEFENSIVE LINEMAN POSITIONS TO CAREER MODE! A idea could be for offensive lineman blocking machines be different, such as, holding L2 and hitting R1 to do a certain type of block and other L2 combating for different types of blocks. And for pancakes I think L2 + R2 + R1 + L1 does a rush block to well “ pancake “. For player playstyles or architectures I have a few ideas. 1: Power : Muscular or heavy build at 6’3 minimum 280+ with highest stats being strength, power blocking and balance. Best skill to use : Rush Block ( pancake assertive block ) 2. Rapid: Slim or average, based off speed 5’11 minimum 190+ based off acceleration and explosiveness, highest stats being speed and drive blocking 3. Balanced: Average or muscular 6’1 minimum 230+ well rounded with highest stats being set. When playing in one of my Franchise modes, and attempting to use a custom offensive playbook, after the first play has been played such that the clock keeps running (i.e. incomplete passes do not trigger this), the offense defaults to a state wherein they only run hurry-up offense. Specifically, it seems that it tries to run one of the fake spike plays. It shall be noted that the game-plan for most of the situations are fully populated with plays (such that the "add play" button is disabled), but that this bug also occurred before any of the situations were populated at all with plays. To attempt to fix this, I have tried not loading any coach playbooks, but this did not fix the issue. Initially, I tried populating all of the scenarios, but that also didn't work. I tried researching to see if anyone else had this issue, but insofar as my research efforts reveal, I appear to be unique in this conundrum. Notably (and to reiterate), this only occurs in one of my franchises - a 3rd-year Titans franchise. All of my players are reasonably leveled-up, as are my coaches. I don't know what could be causing this, but I don't want to lose my progress on this franchise - it's my main franchise.11Views0likes0Comments
