MADDEN 26-27 IMPROVEMENT IDEAS
This is a thread I wanted to start so everyone on here can have their ideas seen and heard by EA_Shepard and other EA Staff while also having a single, organized place to share them. This in turn makes it easier to read and organize these thoughts in order to pass on to dev teams. Please be respectful and feel free to put down anything you would want to see in a coming update or in newer games to come. I'll start by adding these ideas: Downloadable Rosters & Draft Classes from past years for nostalgic Franchises. Customizable Divisions and Schedules like what is found in CFB (Great for Fantasy). Reincluding the option of Coaching Legends for Coach Mode (Also Great for Fantasy). Possibly reinclude custom facial uploads for custom coaches in Coach Mode. Revamped and reincluded Player/Owner Modes. - Ultimately to summarize this: For Owner Mode, I'd like to see Team Builder tied more exclusively to a new version of this where customization of everything from the ground up is key for the most customizable experience ever. For Player Mode, I'd like what little works well within Superstar to be tied to a new, revamped Player Mode, where the storylines and cutscenes are more included here, and less in other modes. This would include being able to choose an existing player within a franchise, and focus exclusively on their career; OR, create a new player and start as you would within Superstar. I'd like to see Team Builder weaved into relocation for all online modes and somehow introduced into offline. Inclusion of holding the L2/LT to Switch Stick to minimize switching by accident, especially while trying to pass rush. Include more cities and teams for Relocation. Cities where franchises already exist like Miami, LA, or Detroit, as well as new ones like Boston, Phoenix, or Birmingham. More Stadium options for Relocation. Reinclude Build a Stadium within Team Builder. I'm talking from scratch...not just editing the field. Reinclude the ability to edit and create more custom uniform combinations. Within the Edit Rosters section of the Creation Center, more flexibility to edit a player's contract, abilities, etc, would be nice. Better Training Camp - Introduce some ability to gain physical STR, SPD, AGI, COD, by introducing some of the game found in Superstar like the 3Cone, Weightlifting, 40YD, etc. - This is where mini-games shine. Make games open for more players to train and have them more focused on gaining skill points and less on XP and Rookie Reps. This is a great way to help maintain the physical ability of Vets, or take your high-level Superstars to the next level. Revamp Weekly Training - Make this less focused on mini-games and tie it more to Practice Mode and gaining XP/Rookie Reps. The way the have Wear & Tear worked into this is nice; Now just optimize it. Optimize Coach Central and Coaching Abilities. - It's a bit to type but my thoughts on this can be found in my "M26 Franchise Feedback thread" thread. I feel that's a pretty good start for now. Hopefully this is helpful for anyone that reads and I look forward to seeing more thoughts and ideas shared here!
superstar mode
Whenever I try to load up a game in superstar I'm either on an eternal loading screen that doesn't say or do anything or it loads and most of the icons are just gone, like the space bar for hold to skip and the icons for the plays and passing keybinds, the game also freezes during this time.Madden rating system needs a make over
This discussion is for the Madden ratings system in conduct with online play. The way that they rated is not enjoyable for online play and we know we can just edit them for our own Quick play and Franchise purposes. The ratings are in a nutshell “terrible” and unenjoyable for playing online. Although Competitive is the mode for online play, these players ratings still have an impact on the success of each play. For example, even on competitive mode Matthew Stafford will run at his 70-79 speed oppose to Lamar Jackson at his 96 speed and it is noticeable. Or if someone has Sheduer Sanders and they try to throw deep it will be inconsistent and probably over throw oppose to a quarterback like Mahomes where the pass will probably be more accurate and near the receiver. So ratings “does” play a role still in “Competitive Mode”. So with that being said, you can not just rate these players on there popularity in the league! You need to get somebody who knows every last star players exact unpredictable ratings correct first! Like receivers that have good moves off the line of scrimmage, you put there release ratings in the 90’s, even the tight ends that are good should have release ratings like 86 and up. The offensive linemen are a complete joooooke. There’s no offensive lineman no matter how fat you think they are lol, that is slow in the 60’s speed rating that is a complete joke because they have to pull and get the linebackers. And I’ve yet to see a running back in the league who passes the lineman on an off tackle or pull run. Great lineman should be rated in speed around 88 and up. And yes there’s defensive linemen that should be rated 90 and up. And in this league, Linebackers are not this slow on understanding if a receiver is going towards them on a route that this is not who they cover. For Christ sakes you still have Bo Nix rated a “81” on a great Bronco team that is probably number two in the league right now. This is highly unacceptable because it is so unenjoyable online. And still no proper face scan..or excuse me as a 3d major in college I will say you still haven’t created the polygon face for Sanders. I will like to know if you need help on these ratings as far as advising you on this. Because we know how great this game is and would like to help rather the talk down to. point is the ratings needs to be more of how valuable the specific players are “to the specific team” rather then what you perceive as a star player.Superstar Mode Error
Unfortunately, the Superstar mod has never worked well for me. After buying the game at launch, I could never get into it. When I tried to start the game in Superstar mod mode, the entire Madden application would crash. Now, after the latest update, I can at least play with it, but there's a problem. In the league settings, I set quarters to 12 minutes, but when I start the game, they're only 6 minutes long. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is there a solution?Friend H2H Issue
So, I want to play with my friend in a H2H match; he can join my lobby and vice versa. But once we pick the teams and the loading screen appears, after about a minute, I just go back to the menu. My friend sometimes gets into the game, but he immediately gets the message that he lost connection with his peer. Obviously, that sounds like an internet issue between us, but that’s not the case, because we can play Showdown without problems and we can search for H2H games and play other people. That being said, I was able to play with my friend for a few weeks, but we tried to change the depth chart because he wanted to play with Mahomes. Obviously, that doesn’t work because you need to have the updated roster, so we updated it again and deleted that roster change. Unfortunately, after we did that, we can no longer play together in that mode. He’s on PC and I’m on Xbox Series S, by the way. Actually, we had the exact same problem in Madden 25. So, when are you going to fix your game? My friend mostly bought the game to play with me, and now we can’t. Give me a solution. There’s no way things like that should keep happening.You can play Superstar-mode only once!?
Hey EA, what is this? I play Madden only for the Superstar mode, bought it, started the mode, accidentally simulated the combine.. Wanted to star over, but.... YOU CAN'T!??? I'm on PC/EA app, and you can only create ONE superstar!? So even if you didn't mess up somehow, you can play it ONCE!!?? So you are not able to try other positions and even if you play the game through and retire, you can't play again? So for 70€ you can play once.... What is this!? I know people hate on Madden because of all the bugs etc and for sure even the Superstar mode has gone worse every year from the times you could play any position, hire agents etc, but this takes the cake. Only one game, and if you mess it up, that's that. No way. Fix this please or at least mention this in the description as a new feature!!
