Unique Maps and Portal Love
Now that the newest wave of bot farming has subsided, isn't it nice to be able to join and host Portal servers again!? It's a sad state of affairs when what we once enjoyed and miss in the old, old Battlefield games feels so gone and so hard to feel again. Portal really feels like the only option we have to experience our Battlefield nostalgia. Portal has persistent servers, searchable, a player count, a ping, and keeps players together round after round. It has everything most of us want, except for stability and full control. It's the closest thing we have. Let's celebrate and share what we have. I'll start. Here is a Golf Course map I made. I call it King of the Hill, but it isn't everyone's version of King of the Hill. It is a literal hill -- the one with Club House at the top -- and two teams of 20 spawn on either side of the map and try to capture the Club House. YouTube Preview There is a Hardcore version and a Standard core version. It has bot fill with AI that has a purpose. Custom Layout and Spawn Protection I have added a crumbling highway to one side of the map to give more attack options. The spawns are chosen based on having cover or hills protecting them, or stone blocks are strewn around the map to provide that protection. In addition, the overpass has a break in it and out of bounds lines in such a way that neither side gets a great opportunity to spawn kill the opposing side. Custom AI Like I said, the AI is customized to give it a purpose. You won't join a game by yourself and just see the AI wandering aimlessly, idling, or waiting for you to appear. The AI that just waits for you and then instantly nails you is not fun. This AI is different. Aside for the ones who get stuck in vehicles and can't figure out how to drive, you should see the AI quite active. Although still dumb as rocks, you should not be too annoyed with the AI bots while waiting for the server to fill. I may disable AI from entering vehicles in the future. I have considered it, but have not yet decided if that is a good or bad idea. At least the AI chilling in the carts gives some additional variety. Feedback Now here is where I need you. These maps haven't been properly tested. Besides a few players every now and then, none of them have got a very good shake-down. The XP farming really screwed everything up for a while, and no one could very well host or join anything without a lot of effort. I need traffic and feedback so that I can tweak things. Maps? I said "These Maps", but there is only one here! I have more. All of them are similarly unique in one way or another and have custom AI and can be won or lost. I can only host one map at a time, so I chose the one I thought would get more interest; but I have others. Please feel free to join or host any of these maps and enjoy and share the experience. Free to Play: "F2P REDSEC - Team Deathmatch" : Golf Course and Tech Sector map rotation of Team Deathmatch. Golf Course features the same design you see above. Tech Sector is mostly un-modified and can be based on feedback. Deathmatch AI has a purpose and you will see them on a mission. Each spawn area has a sign you can interact with in order to switch to the other team, or to turn bot fill on. Host it with a password if you don't want randoms to join. ZG383 "Friends vs Friends F2P Infantry Conquest with Team Switching": 20 vs 20 (max) Conquest Small to play against your friends. Bots are off by default. Dear EA Support Team, I am writing to report an ongoing issue preventing me from connecting to EA FC 26 Ultimate Team on my PlayStation 5. Although my internet connection is fully functional, Ultimate Team consistently fails to connect. My Wi-Fi is stable and performs well, and I am able to access and play all other game modes without any problems—this issue is isolated strictly to Ultimate Team. I have already attempted several troubleshooting steps, including restarting my console, deleting and re-downloading the game, and rebuilding the PS5 database. Unfortunately, none of these actions have resolved the issue. I kindly request that you review my account to determine whether there are any flags, restrictions, or other account-related issues that may be causing this problem. This might look like a minor bug but I think I influences the game play. When I play REDSEC DUO for example, after the game I can quickly continue by hitting "Continue" and the next game starts immediately. When I decide I met a good team mate and want to stay with em, I hit "Stay with squad" but then I have to wait until the timer is down. It doesn't matter if both agree to stay, the countdown continues. That way there are sometimes like 2 minutes waiting time. Gioco che a parer mio quest'anno non doveva uscire, tanti problemi da risolvere, molte persone hanno smesso di giocare già da novembre essendo che purtroppo questi problemi non vengono risolti, procedo ad elencarli sperando che qualcuno dello staff di ea veda il tutto. 1) I passaggi dopo l'ultima patch, sono peggiorati tantissimo, in alcune partite ogni passaggio viene fatto male nonostante, alcuni giocatori hanno il tiki taka+ come stili di gioco. 2) La difesa è impossibile controllarla manualmente, ma se lasci il controller sul tavolo la CPU difende da sola e benissimo, (non penso sia normale). 3) La CPU in generale è troppo forte. 4) Nei pack trovare dei top è difficilissimo, mentre gli altri trovano 2 volte di seguito in 2 pack diversi r9 c'è gente che non trova nulla. I play the events ( cpu and h2h) but I never get credit for them in my season event pass nor does my event pass go up. Usually my event pass does go up just not this season but I never get credit for winning or playing the games. Does anyone have an idea why? Every new addition of this gameplay just seems to become more horrible. Early stages of this new edition was fairly good, tested via trial before purchasing...now the nasty gremlins have risen from being sprinkled with a bit of cash...FFS EA! Just got the hang of defending and attacking better, started climbing divisions. New season arrives and my team has become a proper **bleep**/prostitute...why the team has just spread out like a prostitute spreading her legs to get hammered, box to box midfielders have become spectators. This part pisses me off even further, on numerous occasions shots that suppose to be on goals gets fired towards the corner f*'n flag, or wide...body position facing goal, on low drive, finesse or outside foot shot... This is a thread I wanted to start so everyone on here can have their ideas seen and heard by EA_Shepard and other EA Staff while also having a single, organized place to share them. This in turn makes it easier to read and organize these thoughts in order to pass on to dev teams. Please be respectful and feel free to put down anything you would want to see in a coming update or in newer games to come. I'll start by adding these ideas: Downloadable Rosters & Draft Classes from past years for nostalgic Franchises. Customizable Divisions and Schedules like what is found in CFB (Great for Fantasy). Reincluding the option of Coaching Legends for Coach Mode (Also Great for Fantasy). Possibly reinclude custom facial uploads for custom coaches in Coach Mode. Revamped and reincluded Player/Owner Modes. - Ultimately to summarize this: For Owner Mode, I'd like to see Team Builder tied more exclusively to a new version of this where customization of everything from the ground up is key for the most customizable experience ever. For Player Mode, I'd like what little works well within Superstar to be tied to a new, revamped Player Mode, where the storylines and cutscenes are more included here, and less in other modes. This would include being able to choose an existing player within a franchise, and focus exclusively on their career; OR, create a new player and start as you would within Superstar. I'd like to see Team Builder weaved into relocation for all online modes and somehow introduced into offline. Inclusion of holding the L2/LT to Switch Stick to minimize switching by accident, especially while trying to pass rush. Include more cities and teams for Relocation. Cities where franchises already exist like Miami, LA, or Detroit, as well as new ones like Boston, Phoenix, or Birmingham. More Stadium options for Relocation. Reinclude Build a Stadium within Team Builder. I'm talking from scratch...not just editing the field. Reinclude the ability to edit and create more custom uniform combinations. Within the Edit Rosters section of the Creation Center, more flexibility to edit a player's contract, abilities, etc, would be nice. Better Training Camp - Introduce some ability to gain physical STR, SPD, AGI, COD, by introducing some of the game found in Superstar like the 3Cone, Weightlifting, 40YD, etc. - This is where mini-games shine. Make games open for more players to train and have them more focused on gaining skill points and less on XP and Rookie Reps. This is a great way to help maintain the physical ability of Vets, or take your high-level Superstars to the next level. Revamp Weekly Training - Make this less focused on mini-games and tie it more to Practice Mode and gaining XP/Rookie Reps. The way the have Wear & Tear worked into this is nice; Now just optimize it. Optimize Coach Central and Coaching Abilities. - It's a bit to type but my thoughts on this can be found in my "M26 Franchise Feedback thread" thread. I feel that's a pretty good start for now.
