Game suddenly not playable
Hello forum, this is actually for my sig-other who plays Dragon Age, plus all the iterations, but is experiencing difficulty - ONLY with Veilguard! this is for a PC: AMD Ryzen 7 5700G @ 3,8GHz + AMD RX 6650XT with 8GB GDDR6 + 32GB DDR4 RAM + onboard Realtek ALC887 sound + onboard Realtek GbE RJ-45 network + MS windows 11 - updates all current + EA Games app - updates all current + AMD Adrenalin - updates all current (v25.6.1) set at 'default' video properties..... She started playing Veilguard in November of last year and seemed very happy with it. From what I saw, game performance was fast enough to be impressive, though she did say she had turned off some gameplay details. the issue is that about five or six weeks ago, immediately after something updated (?), the game became unplayable. Loading at start went from a minute or two to an unreasonable time... 30 minutes? an hour? she didn't say. and game play went from impressive to jittery... frame-by-frame-by-frame. As far as I know, it does not actually crash, and all the other Dragon Age games are playable as before. I have tried uninstalling the video driver and reinstalling it clean. (used Display Driver Uninstaller in safe mode to be sure all old files had been removed). she also tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling. also same for the EA app, and clearing the cache. I'm not finding any other suggestions. Anyone? Thanks PS I'm attaching a current DxDiag full outputShift key for input fields disabled
Game is Steam version Running on Steam-Proton (Linux Zorin-OS 17.2) Tested on: Full game (80GB) and character creator demo (20GB) EA-Help Case number 196990039 Problem: The SHIFT key is disabled for ALL input fields. No left shift, no right shift, no shift-lock is working. Keys with shift appear lowercase like it was never pressed. Result: Not possible to EA login with a password that contains uppercase keys. Not possible to reset password, as this requires uppercase keys. Your char is denied to have a uppercase name. Savegames cannot have uppercase letters. Is shift generally switched off? Nope, movement for the char has working shift functions. This differs between input fields and gameplay. Every idea is welcome, this is the only steam-proton game without shift key. HansegamXINVALID_POINTER_WRITE Error
Hi, I'm trying to play this MASTERPIECE for like 1 week and I don't know what else to do. Whenever I want to start the game it crashes randomly. After starting it whenever I see the menu or start moving in game my game crashes without any error. I've opened the mdmp file with WindowsDebugger and have seen the INVALID_POINTER_WRITE error. I was getting this error before formatting the pc and after format it still happens. I've verified the files, removed shader caches, lowered the resolution, lowered the graphics. It's still the same. What really should I do to play this game? It shouldn't be this hard. I've played so many games that requires more hardware then Veilguard and didn't get any error like this. This is an example I get on WindowsDebugger of your mdmp file.EA Launcher canceling DA Game Launch
I was playing Dragon Age II when the game crashed. At, first I wasn’t too bothered as old games crash all the time, but now I’m concerned as the EA launcher won’t let the steam game launch initialize. I keep getting the error message that says “there seems to be a problem on our end” (EA Launch app) without specifying said problem. Now I’m just frustrated because I would like to play DA2 but I can’t even get into the game because of the launcher issues.Solved(Steam Deck) Remote Play Won't Connect After Patch 4
I can't play the game. I have been streaming the game via remote play on steam to my steam deck. No other game has any issue, but after the latest update to dragon age the veilguard the control prompts constantly flash between keyboard and controller, it eats most of the inputs, and the camera won't stop pointing at the ground. It's completely unplayable. The game was broken by the update and noone in support is even acknowledging the issue because it's a niche problem. Valve won't refund me because I've played too much and it's not my fault that the game is broken.Dragon Age Keep refusing to allow me access to world state editor
This has been an on going problem for 3days now. I cannot get dragon age keep to allow me to access any sort of function what so ever. I am able to login to the world state editor but will immediately receive an error message telling me to refresh and retry. The system worked fine less than a month ago. I have insured both login emails and are the same. I’ve cleared all cache, cookies, browsing history etc. my VPN is currently disabled. As well as my virus protector. I have tried logging in from different browsers both PC and mobile.. (screenshot is mobile) I am able to login fine through a different account that doesn’t have DA on it but am unable to even share world states with my main account as a friend. Please help! also a note: it currently says it’s “not synced” I have opened 2 separate cases and have heard nothing case numbers: 210884721 & 210958714Games aren't launching properly
I've been trying to launch Dragon Age Inquisition on my pc lately and it doesn't work, I've previously sunk 33hrs into the game and it eventually refused to launch properly. I go to launch it on Steam, EA or Epic and it doesn't matter. I launch it and it opens up the EA app and as per usual forces me to launch the game through there and then it proceeds to close the EA app and say "Preparing Game" with the loading bar, after a moment or two it opens up the EA app again and acts like I never even attempted to launch the game in the first place. I've even had task manager open at the same time and it never even launches the games at all. The most annoying part of this whole issue is the fact that I have this problem on multiple games. Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Battlefield 5 have the exact same issue, both of which are games that I've also sunk a decent amount of time into and would like to play again but can't. At one point I found a solution to the Dragon Age Inquisition problem that being to launch the EA app as administrator and the go offline and launch Dragon Age from desktop as admin but that doesn't work anymore. It's also only and issue with some of the older titles since all of the newer ones work fine like Battlefield 2042 and Jedi Survivor and even some of the old ones like Mass Effect and the other Dragon Age games I would just really like to be able to play these games again but no matter how many discussions and subreddits and the like that I go through none of the supposed "solutions" work for me.Weird problem with opening the game.
Hi so I just came across the weirdest thing I ever witnessed. I donwloaded DAO like normal from the EA PC App. Somehow the game starts itself on startup AND ONLY THEN. I tried to turn it on normally from desktop/app and it just didn't start. Anyone has any idea what had caused it and how to fix it? I do have it modded but I played with the same set of mods before and never had an issue like this.
