Dragon Age 2 not running... sometimes
Hello there, I am having serious problems trying to play DA2 in PC. Sometimes the game launches at the first time, but most of the time it shows running at the background in the Task Manager, but there is no window open for the game. Usually, I end the DA2 task on the Task Manager, which launches again the EA app and try again until the game launches, but I haven't found a permanent solution to this. Any suggestion? tks in advance!Solved37Views0likes6CommentsDragon Age Inquisition Crashing
Hello, I have an issue. I decided to replay the game recently and redownloaded it through steam. I managed to play for around 30 hours with no issues, reaching Skyhold. Once there I was trying to level up Cole and the game closed to desktop. There was no error message or anything and it didn't generate an event in event viewer, nor any dump file anywhere else. I figured it was just a random bug and went back to playing, but then it happened again, when I was walking through the Hinterlands. And then it kept happening in random places too. I thought, perhaps my save file got corrupted somehow? And tried creating a new character, which crashed right in the prologue, just before decide whether to take the mountain path or charge. Since then I have tried almost all the troubleshooting tips, but nothing worked for me and I do not know what to do anymore. My laptop is Asus Rog Strix G18 with the following specs: intel i9-14900HX CPU Nvidia rtx 4080 laptop GPU 32G of RAM Windows 11 I have tried: -Verifying game files through steam -Lowering my graphics settings -Playing in windowed borderless and windowed mode -Re-installing my drivers -DDU reinstalling both drivers for my integrated intel and nvidia gpu -DDU rolling back drivers for both my gpus -setting CPU affinity to different cores through process lasso (I have tried many configurations but none worked) -deleting the profile setting files and letting the game generate them again -setting exception for steam, ea app, dragon age.exe, the folder with dragon age.exe and save folder in windows defender -disabling turbo boost for CPU -clean boot -full re-install of the game, including the deletion of all shader caches (DX, Nvidia and Intel) None of these worked and I am at a loss now. The crashes are completely random and numerous I now have muscle memory for quicksaves, it's eating away at my sanity. Please help me somebody ;-;307Views0likes28CommentsDragon Age Origins UE Physical copy DLC Unauthorized
Hello! Similar issues are discussed a lot, but I haven't found a solution that works in my case. I like physical copies of games mainly for nostalgia, and recently got Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition as a physical copy. I have now installed it as well as all the bonus content (Awakening, bunch of special items and DLC stuff). However, they are all installed and enabled, but unauthorized. Due to the EA servers no longer available message, I can't log in from the game to authorize them either. I have the EA application, which recognized that I have the game and now I can launch it through there as well. I did that, but it made no difference. All of the content also shows up when I check add-ons from the EA app for DAO. Anyone had a similar situation? I think my game being a physical copy probably makes this a bit different than the usual fixes I've seen for the Steam or EA App purchased versions. I would like to actually play this from the physical version, just want to find a way to authorize the DLC content.tixibm13 days agoSeasoned Newcomer51Views0likes3CommentsDragon Age II Steam purchase not accessible on EA app
Hello, I purchased DA ultimate edition as part of a Steam sale in Dec. I just finished DAO with zero problems on my Steam Deck and want to start DA2. I downloaded the game on my Steam Deck, linked my Steam and EA accounts and tried to play. I am getting a notice when I launch the game that “This title may have been downloaded to your device by another user who owns the game. Log into a different account or restart the app to try again.” I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I have signed out of the EA app. I’m not sure what else to do.1d99a94077be39fe15 days agoRising Newcomer41Views0likes0CommentsI can’t get ser Isaac to unlock in da2

Some time ago, I purchased Dragon Age: Origins as a digital download on the PSN store. Recently, I found the physical copy of Dragon Age: Origins Awakening for a good price and purchased it. Upon installing the Awakening disc on PS3, the game is asking for the Origins disc, which I do not have, since the original was a digital purchase. Is there any way to install Awakening on PS3 if the original is digital and the expansion is a physical copy?Solved4.5KViews0likes6CommentsDeluded Chevalier
I can’t get into the fortress!! I know the soldiers are supposed to come out but they aren’t at all, I can’t find a way in and I can’t fight the door to just get the quest to complete! I walked around for two hours just trying to glitch in, and I couldn’t do that either, I’ve even tried with my horse! Does anyone have any ideas? I’ve tried uninstalling and redownloading, same issue, even going to an earlier save doesn’t work!18Views0likes0CommentsDA2: Unable to launch
After playing DA2 Ultimate Edition (bought on Steam), it fails to launch on PC. I've been having issues with it from the start: the game wouldn't launch in full window mode and would crash frequently. Then it started having issues launching. I tried: Disabling every overlay possible (which did help at first, it seemed). Ending EA background processes. Running the game offline. Running the EA app as an administrator. EA app recovery. Verifying the file integrity in Steam. Reinstalling the EA app. Reinstalling the game. Nothing seems to be working now. The game is refusing to launch. Are there any reliable solutions, or should I just give up and get my refund? Here's the error I get:31Views0likes0CommentsDirectX CreateTexture2D Error
This may have already been solved, but I can't find a solution that works for me. I was literally playing the game earlier this week, but now it keeps crashing. I can open the game, hit continue, but while it's on the loading screen, I get the following message: I've never had problems like this before. I've tried the following solutions: -Play in Windowed mode -Repair game -Update nvidia drivers -Uninstall + Reinstall nvidia drivers -Update Intel drivers Someone said that a fix for them was changing the audio input, but I don't know where to change that, or if it would help at all. I've been trying for a few hours to figure it out and I'm at my wits end tbh. Any help is appreciated. ♥ I'm also attaching an image that has all my computer specs. idk what y'all need to know.Solved5.5KViews0likes7CommentsDragon Age Inquisition server connection error
I bought and played DA: Inquisition many years ago. I believe I was using Origin at the time. Two days ago, I decided to download it again. The pc I'm using has never before had the game installed on it. Every time I try to launch the game I get the following error (see attachment): We are unable to connect to EA servers to activate DragonAge: Inquistion - GOTY Edition on this computer using your account. Please try again later. I'm not using any mods. Other games launch just fine. Its not my firewall. I've cleared my registry. I've deleted the licenses folder's contents. I've reinstalled the game. I've rebooted. I've tried every suggestion I can find from others in old forums but I still get the same error.Solved59Views0likes1CommentDAI: Unable to Connect to EA Servers to Activate...
I have been dealing with this disaster for a week now. I just got a new gaming laptop and installed the EA app to play my games on it. Dragon Age: Inquisition will NOT load. When I let the process sit for 5-10 minutes, this window pops up: My only option is to exit. As you can see, there is no log-in option here. There never is. If I don't wait for this to pop up, I have to force-quit the DAI process (which does load), then end the ActivationUI process (which is the crux of the issue) in order to even close the EA App. I've been searching all over the internet (these forums, general searches, YouTube), and I have tried every single "fix" that I found. None of them have worked. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache, deleted folders and licenses, I've copied and pasted .dll files from one folder to another, I've forced specific DNS, I've prayed to the Cheese Wheel gods, and NOTHING IS WORKING. (And I do not have any Razer products, so that isn't it.) I've played this game for over a thousand hours between my gaming PC, and XBox, and this issue has never come up before. What's most discouraging is that I've seen this issue pop up many, many times with no solutions, even since the year the game was released! What is going on here? Why is there no fix for this? I am so beyond frustrated. Has anyone been able to figure this out or bypass the ActivationUI altogether???Solvedri_paige_voice2 months agoNew Rookie370Views1like20CommentsWounded chevalier quest broken?
So I encountered a quest-breaking bug (that, from what I read, potentially breaks the whole quest chain in Exalted Plains). There is a wounded chevalier in the trenches area of the map, and I can't talk to him. When I press A the conversation doesn't trigger at all. I googled a bit and it seems a couple of people had this problem as well. Any way to force the quest stage in the console or something?Anonymous2 months ago5.8KViews1like16CommentsCan’t select language (App and Games)
Hey. Wanted to download Dragon Age Origins via the Gamepass, and it requires the EA app. After downloading the EA app, I tried to change the app’s language from English to French but the drop-down menu just doesn’t work. The list doesn’t show up, and I have the same issue when I try downloading a game: it asks me for the language before installing but I can’t select anything and it stays on « English » no matter what I try. Might be relevant to specify that this happens on my Rog Ally Z1 Extreme. I tried with a mouse too. Any ways to fix that?Seth-Mackenzei2 months agoRising Newcomer112Views1like1CommentTrying to get the Keep rewards for Dragon Age 2 on PS3
So, I went through my Career tab in Dragon Age 2 and requested all the rewards. I made sure that my Keep and my PSN account had the same email as my Keep. I even did the whole Replay Startup thing to resync my Keep. But I’m still not getting any of the rewards other than the ones I already had before the Keep. I purchased Dragon Age 2 Ultimate Edition off Steam back in the summer, when the annual Steam Summer Sale was going on. Ultimate Edition means that it came with all the DLCs, including the 3 extra story ones (The Exiled Prince, Mark of the Assassin, Legacy). I was prompted to make an EA account, did so, and then booted up the game. After logging in for a second time in the game, I checked the downloadable content tab. From the story DLC to the extra packs and trinkets, everything was said to be installed. I started the game, and didn’t focus on this aspect until I reached Act 2. Well, I have now hit a wall. None of the DLC seems to be available, no matter what I do. My home has none of the extra items mentioned, I cannot access the story DLCs. I’ve logged in and out of my account in the game, didn’t change a thing. EA’s proven to be absolutely 0 help, and I can’t even find a concrete answer online. So has anyone run into this problem and been able to fix it? I didn’t pay much for the game, but I’d still like my money’s worth considering I’m playing this game in order to experience the entire series.131Views0likes2Comments[DAI] camera flipping glitch when moving with mouse
while controlling the camera angle with a mouse, the camera will sometimes flip 180°. i’ve tried everything mentioned in some relevant EA forum threads, as well as whatever else i could think of: disable overlay (steam, discord, and nvidia for me) delete the “ProfileOptions_profile” file clean reinstall of the graphic and mouse drivers reduce camera movement speed/mouse sensitivity in game turn off “enhanced pointer precision” change graphic settings (texture quality and vsync etc) repair game via steam none fixes the problem. my pc isn’t connected to any controller at the moment. it has made exploration extremely tedious. to add more context, it didn’t happen in first playthrough, it only started halfway through my second playthrough. this issue persisted ever since across different saves. any suggestion on how to fix this problem will be appreciated:)itzfyl2 months agoSeasoned Novice202Views0likes9Comments- 38Views0likes1Comment
[Xbox] Dragon Age Origins servers unavailable and cloud save issues
If you are getting this and you are puzzled how to start the game, don't worry. It's a 15 year old game which is trying to link to Dragon Age data pages which no longer exist on social.bioware.com, but don't worry, we can go around that. On the home page of the game, just 'press start' (start button) as you would normally do. It'll give you a warning that 'the Dragon Age servers are temporarily unavailable. Please try again.' What's happening is that it's trying to connect to no longer existing data within the social.bioware.com site. So don't try again later, it'll never happen. Just 'A' ok it and wait. The game will think about it and give you this message: And after a little while you should get the proper start screen so you can start to play: Hopefully that resolves things for many. However, some people will have issues with the game endlessly trying to download 'cloud saves'. There's a solution to that. You probably know that if you go into 'Manage game and add-ons' that you can delete local saves, but cloud saves can be a bit stubborn. If like me you played a load of Dragon Age Origins years ago there will be a pile of your save data clogged in the cloud of what used to be 'Xbox Live, but fortunately they can be deleted. You want to do a fresh playthrough ahead of playing Veilguard right? So start the game until you start getting the splash screens. Then press BOTH the 'back' and 'play' buttons (the little buttons either side of the big home/guide button). This opens up the Xbox Guide box (which it doesn't like me screenshotting). One option is 'Manage storage' which allows you to get rid of your cloud storage (assuming you don't want to access those years old saves) Deleting The Dragon Age Origins save should stop the game hanging when trying to find those old saves. The Xbox Guide box also has an option for you to log into your profile if the game is being fussy about logging you in.1.5KViews4likes2CommentsWar table bug
Hello, so I killed Corypheus and I started doing the descent and frostback bassin and at one point I unlocked new operations but when I went to the war table nothing appeared. I get regular operations but the ones where you have to use points are simply inexistent. Did that happened to anyone? Is there a way to fix it or force the operations to complete themselves?
