Dragon Age:Origins keeps crashing.
When I try to leave Lothering to engage the bandits north of town, the game keeps crashing as the battle starts. Sometimes I get an error message, sometimes it just crashes. I've seen posts about downloading third-party software to fix an issue with too little available RAM on modern PCs, but I'm hesitant to try unauthorized add-ons. Is this the only fix, or is there another viable option?QuentonWolf3 days agoRising Novice100Views0likes11Comments[PC] EA overlay not working for specific titles
So, ever since EA decided to stop supporting Origin, I have lost my way of managing game invites for both Dragon Age Inquisition and Mass Effect 3. Tried reinstalling the game, but that didn't do anything. Funny thing is this. The overlay works fine in ANY other EA title. And that has been the problem ever since the EA app betas.THE_Crazy_Hyena5 days agoSeasoned Scout13Views0likes1CommentCan't launch Dragon Age 2

I have been dealing with this disaster for a week now. I just got a new gaming laptop and installed the EA app to play my games on it. Dragon Age: Inquisition will NOT load. When I let the process sit for 5-10 minutes, this window pops up: My only option is to exit. As you can see, there is no log-in option here. There never is. If I don't wait for this to pop up, I have to force-quit the DAI process (which does load), then end the ActivationUI process (which is the crux of the issue) in order to even close the EA App. I've been searching all over the internet (these forums, general searches, YouTube), and I have tried every single "fix" that I found. None of them have worked. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache, deleted folders and licenses, I've copied and pasted .dll files from one folder to another, I've forced specific DNS, I've prayed to the Cheese Wheel gods, and NOTHING IS WORKING. (And I do not have any Razer products, so that isn't it.) I've played this game for over a thousand hours between my gaming PC, and XBox, and this issue has never come up before. What's most discouraging is that I've seen this issue pop up many, many times with no solutions, even since the year the game was released! What is going on here? Why is there no fix for this? I am so beyond frustrated. Has anyone been able to figure this out or bypass the ActivationUI altogether???ri_paige_voice9 days agoNew Rookie103Views0likes5CommentsDragon age inquisition

It worked 2 days ago when I reinstalled it after not playing for a year but now Dragon age 2 refuses to launch, whenever I try to launch the game via steam, the ea app, or directly with the .exe it just opens up the ea app and then closes again, and nothing happens. It's on Directx 9, not Directx 11 so it's not that, it's set to run as administrator so it's not that either, it's in compatibility mode so it's also not that. When I try to troubleshoot it says there's a ''missing'' required file, ssleay32.dll, but that's not true as it IS there. I have done everything people have said to do and it still doesn't work.Solved4.4KViews0likes15CommentsDragon Age Multiplayer lag
So, I made a few forum posts where I talked about issues with the game, and didn't reply. Sorry about that. I was both busy, and the issues in question were manageable or didn't happen a lot. Now I have a new problem, though. I understand that this is an old game, and it's full of bugs and lag. Lag off host is a common problem in many games and it's pretty hard to fix. There's going to be some lag, no biggy. The issue is though, today I joined a game hosted by someone from Ukraine. Actually, it was three games, I think. The second game, my computer randomly turned off (another problem I mentioned having earlier). I was invited back, and the lag was unbearable, both for the rest of that game, and for the next one. I had to leave. The problem is, my entire game now is just as laggy as when I joined that guy's game, even when I host my own games or I'm just in the menu, changing my equipment. Uninstalling and reinstalling the game didn't fix it. Neither did closing my computer.Mistermovieman10 days agoRising Adventurer38Views0likes1CommentDragon Age 2 won't boot up.
I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this issue, but I've been playing DA 2 for 20 hours total so far and the game was running pretty well, then all of a sudden during a cutscene the game crashes on me. I've tried to boot the game back up but it gives me the same response of "the game won't launch, there's an issue on our end that won't let the game launch". I've tried nearly everything, from uninstalling and reinstalling the game, to restarting the EA app, to repairing the files itself and I'm getting no luck. I've contacted support and they've said they'll report this to the team but I want to know if there's anyone else who's suffering the same issues and if they managed to find a way to fix this.GreyWarden2211 days agoNew Novice168Views1like9CommentsProblems launching Dragon Age Inquisition on Steam
Same. I've been able to play Inquisition through Steam for the past week or so with little issue and then all of a sudden earlier today, it just completely shuts down the game whenever I press "Continue" from the main menu. When I checked the EA App, it told me that there was a problem with the app itself and I've tried almost everything short of uninstalling the game.Xalthium12 days agoSeasoned Newcomer109Views0likes5Comments[Keep] Oops and Error has occurred error on login
Hi, First sorry for my English, I can't edit, import or do anything with the Dragon Age Keep, I've already tried what I've found online (Tried another browser, deleting the cache, disabling addon in the browser, removing files in "temp") Nothing is working, but it is working with another account. For all the Dragon Age, I've played with mod, so maybe that's why it's not working.. And I think I've tried everything, so any help would be appreciate 🙂 Thanks !wyltswm13 days agoRising Novice704Views0likes9CommentsEA Launcher canceling DA Game Launch
I was playing Dragon Age II when the game crashed. At, first I wasn’t too bothered as old games crash all the time, but now I’m concerned as the EA launcher won’t let the steam game launch initialize. I keep getting the error message that says “there seems to be a problem on our end” (EA Launch app) without specifying said problem. Now I’m just frustrated because I would like to play DA2 but I can’t even get into the game because of the launcher issues.SolvedIcarusTheKid_X16 days agoRising Newcomer158Views1like9Commentsbug that wont let me continue with mount

When I try to play Dragon Age: Origins, I keep getting an Invalid License error. I am the original purchaser of this game and have accessed it before, albeit not recently. The "Help" bot isn't helpful, and I can't find where I can ask an actual person. Does anyone have any helpful suggestions.SolvedQuentonWolf19 days agoRising Novice71Views0likes3Comments[Under Investigation] PC - Dragon Age II DLC Not Available to Download
It's one of those posts again! I got Dragon Age II years ago somehow (my old Origin app had an activation date of 2015 - apparently this was from the Humble Origin Bundle 2?), and I just noticed that I never got the DLCs that were given away, my copy of the game says it's the Standard Edition (see attached photos) and there is no way for me to get the missing DLCs without buying the game again. I just spent the past day trying to figure out what to do but nothing I found online seems to have worked. I have: Cleared my EA app cache, logged out and in again; Downloaded the free DLC add-ons from https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/dlc-for-classic-games/#dragonage/ and installed them (they show up as "Unauthorized" in the game); Logged in to the Dragon Age keep to unlock the content manually there; Logged in to my EA account via the game; Synced the accounts between the keep and my computer manually several times; Uninstalled and reinstalled the game; Deleted the contents of the licenses folder; Cleared all my characters at the Dragon Age keep. Nothing seems to work. The game insists that I have to buy it again to get the DLC content. So what can I do? Do I have to buy the game again?FoxhackDN20 days agoNew Traveler3.8KViews0likes121Comments[PC] Not Able To Start Dragon Age II DLC
I hope someone can help me becasue I'm at my wits end. After painstakingly downloading and authorizing my missing DLCs for da2, I finally got them working in my ‘downloadable content’ list. However, they’re not showing up in-game. No statues in my home or quests in my journal, nothing. I tried creating a new character, thinking that maybe, because I’m already at the end of act 1 the quests won’t show up. That unfortunately didn’t work either. I’ve tried repairing the game, nothing. Deleting and re-installing the game, nothing. Re-installing the game did gave me the message ‘This saved game cannot be loaded because the following downloadable content is not installed’. So, the game does recognise that I have the dlc’s installed. I just can’t seem to get them to actually work. After adding the dlc files again I’m still not getting the quests. If it helps, I added pictures of all the dlc’s being authorized and the ‘missing dlc’ after re-installing. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. This whole process is just becoming incredibly frustrating.381Views0likes2CommentsDragon Age Keep refusing to allow me access to world state editor
This has been an on going problem for 3days now. I cannot get dragon age keep to allow me to access any sort of function what so ever. I am able to login to the world state editor but will immediately receive an error message telling me to refresh and retry. The system worked fine less than a month ago. I have insured both login emails and are the same. I’ve cleared all cache, cookies, browsing history etc. my VPN is currently disabled. As well as my virus protector. I have tried logging in from different browsers both PC and mobile.. (screenshot is mobile) I am able to login fine through a different account that doesn’t have DA on it but am unable to even share world states with my main account as a friend. Please help! also a note: it currently says it’s “not synced” I have opened 2 separate cases and have heard nothing case numbers: 210884721 & 210958714SakuraPink9429 days agoSeasoned Newcomer123Views1like1CommentGames aren't launching properly
I've been trying to launch Dragon Age Inquisition on my pc lately and it doesn't work, I've previously sunk 33hrs into the game and it eventually refused to launch properly. I go to launch it on Steam, EA or Epic and it doesn't matter. I launch it and it opens up the EA app and as per usual forces me to launch the game through there and then it proceeds to close the EA app and say "Preparing Game" with the loading bar, after a moment or two it opens up the EA app again and acts like I never even attempted to launch the game in the first place. I've even had task manager open at the same time and it never even launches the games at all. The most annoying part of this whole issue is the fact that I have this problem on multiple games. Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Battlefield 5 have the exact same issue, both of which are games that I've also sunk a decent amount of time into and would like to play again but can't. At one point I found a solution to the Dragon Age Inquisition problem that being to launch the EA app as administrator and the go offline and launch Dragon Age from desktop as admin but that doesn't work anymore. It's also only and issue with some of the older titles since all of the newer ones work fine like Battlefield 2042 and Jedi Survivor and even some of the old ones like Mass Effect and the other Dragon Age games I would just really like to be able to play these games again but no matter how many discussions and subreddits and the like that I go through none of the supposed "solutions" work for me.54Views0likes1Comment
