Dragon Age 2 won't boot up.
I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this issue, but I've been playing DA 2 for 20 hours total so far and the game was running pretty well, then all of a sudden during a cutscene the game crashes on me. I've tried to boot the game back up but it gives me the same response of "the game won't launch, there's an issue on our end that won't let the game launch". I've tried nearly everything, from uninstalling and reinstalling the game, to restarting the EA app, to repairing the files itself and I'm getting no luck. I've contacted support and they've said they'll report this to the team but I want to know if there's anyone else who's suffering the same issues and if they managed to find a way to fix this.GreyWarden224 days agoNew Novice105Views1like7CommentsEA Launcher canceling DA Game Launch
I was playing Dragon Age II when the game crashed. At, first I wasn’t too bothered as old games crash all the time, but now I’m concerned as the EA launcher won’t let the steam game launch initialize. I keep getting the error message that says “there seems to be a problem on our end” (EA Launch app) without specifying said problem. Now I’m just frustrated because I would like to play DA2 but I can’t even get into the game because of the launcher issues.SolvedIcarusTheKid_X11 days agoRising Newcomer143Views1like9CommentsDragon Age: Origins "Invalid license" error.
When I try to play Dragon Age: Origins, I keep getting an Invalid License error. I am the original purchaser of this game and have accessed it before, albeit not recently. The "Help" bot isn't helpful, and I can't find where I can ask an actual person. Does anyone have any helpful suggestions.ead3020720ef4e7512 days agoRising Newcomer59Views0likes3CommentsProblems launching Dragon Age Inquisition on Steam
Same. I've been able to play Inquisition through Steam for the past week or so with little issue and then all of a sudden earlier today, it just completely shuts down the game whenever I press "Continue" from the main menu. When I checked the EA App, it told me that there was a problem with the app itself and I've tried almost everything short of uninstalling the game.Xalthium13 days agoSeasoned Newcomer99Views0likes5CommentsDAI: Unable to Connect to EA Servers to Activate...
I have been dealing with this disaster for a week now. I just got a new gaming laptop and installed the EA app to play my games on it. Dragon Age: Inquisition will NOT load. When I let the process sit for 5-10 minutes, this window pops up: My only option is to exit. As you can see, there is no log-in option here. There never is. If I don't wait for this to pop up, I have to force-quit the DAI process (which does load), then end the ActivationUI process (which is the crux of the issue) in order to even close the EA App. I've been searching all over the internet (these forums, general searches, YouTube), and I have tried every single "fix" that I found. None of them have worked. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache, deleted folders and licenses, I've copied and pasted .dll files from one folder to another, I've forced specific DNS, I've prayed to the Cheese Wheel gods, and NOTHING IS WORKING. (And I do not have any Razer products, so that isn't it.) I've played this game for over a thousand hours between my gaming PC, and XBox, and this issue has never come up before. What's most discouraging is that I've seen this issue pop up many, many times with no solutions, even since the year the game was released! What is going on here? Why is there no fix for this? I am so beyond frustrated. Has anyone been able to figure this out or bypass the ActivationUI altogether???ri_paige_voice15 days agoNew Rookie42Views0likes1CommentGames aren't launching properly
I've been trying to launch Dragon Age Inquisition on my pc lately and it doesn't work, I've previously sunk 33hrs into the game and it eventually refused to launch properly. I go to launch it on Steam, EA or Epic and it doesn't matter. I launch it and it opens up the EA app and as per usual forces me to launch the game through there and then it proceeds to close the EA app and say "Preparing Game" with the loading bar, after a moment or two it opens up the EA app again and acts like I never even attempted to launch the game in the first place. I've even had task manager open at the same time and it never even launches the games at all. The most annoying part of this whole issue is the fact that I have this problem on multiple games. Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Battlefield 5 have the exact same issue, both of which are games that I've also sunk a decent amount of time into and would like to play again but can't. At one point I found a solution to the Dragon Age Inquisition problem that being to launch the EA app as administrator and the go offline and launch Dragon Age from desktop as admin but that doesn't work anymore. It's also only and issue with some of the older titles since all of the newer ones work fine like Battlefield 2042 and Jedi Survivor and even some of the old ones like Mass Effect and the other Dragon Age games I would just really like to be able to play these games again but no matter how many discussions and subreddits and the like that I go through none of the supposed "solutions" work for me.50Views0likes1CommentWeird problem with opening the game.
Hi so I just came across the weirdest thing I ever witnessed. I donwloaded DAO like normal from the EA PC App. Somehow the game starts itself on startup AND ONLY THEN. I tried to turn it on normally from desktop/app and it just didn't start. Anyone has any idea what had caused it and how to fix it? I do have it modded but I played with the same set of mods before and never had an issue like this.47Views0likes1CommentCan’t select language (App and Games)
Hey. Wanted to download Dragon Age Origins via the Gamepass, and it requires the EA app. After downloading the EA app, I tried to change the app’s language from English to French but the drop-down menu just doesn’t work. The list doesn’t show up, and I have the same issue when I try downloading a game: it asks me for the language before installing but I can’t select anything and it stays on « English » no matter what I try. Might be relevant to specify that this happens on my Rog Ally Z1 Extreme. I tried with a mouse too. Any ways to fix that?Seth-Mackenzei30 days agoRising Newcomer55Views0likes0CommentsCan't Access Main Quests Anymore?
Hi, everyone! I've been replaying DA:I again, and, for some reason, it won't let me access the main questline. I went to play Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts, and the fast travel is greyed out. I saw an earlier post where someone mentioned loading an earlier save, but, when I did that, it wouldn't let me start any of the main quests I had been able to do previously, so now I'm not sure what to do. I've restarted the game, took out the mods (which were mostly cosmetic, but you never know), and even verified my game files through steam. At this point, I'm at a loss. Any ideas?Solvedbandcampsquirrel2 months agoRising Traveler49Views0likes1Commentda origins and da2 not launching on win 11
da inquisition ran fine so reloaded origins and da2 which I played on win 7 and 10. neither would launch. turns out a win 11 setting called Address space layout randomization was the cause. in a command window run with admin permission, enter/run windows security then app&browser control exploit protection/exploit protection settings program settings add program to customize choose exact file path then select DragonAge2.exe from the ea game folder scroll down the list of settings to Forced randomization for images (Mandatory ASLR) then override system settings and turn off do the same for daorigins.exe if you have that game another option - turn ASLR off globally (read up on what it does before doing this)ORustyShadowO2 months agoNewcomer66Views0likes0CommentsGame language not supported (Dragon Age: Inquisition)
So, i have an XBOX Game Pass subscription, the account is linked to my EA account and there was no issues for me while playing Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2, but at the moment i am unable to launch the game (Dragon Age: Inquisition). At first, my language was fixed to Polish and Russian (due to EA account' region, i guess?), but due to my system language being English, i tried to fix the issue with mods and access English language. After that, i have encountered the issue: "Game language not supported". Since then, i have already tried to fully delete the game, re-install it, which did not help at all. I have also tried to repair the game several time, it tries to, but the situation does not change. It is possible to change the language in game' properties: just as repairing the game, it does download some files, but the situation does not change. Currently, i am unable to access the game even in the language that is different to my system language: game is unable to start in any way, which raises the question why to even bother with it. Any fix? As i stated, fully deleted the game previously, repaired and tried to change the language in properies, no effect. I have also contacted help.ea.com and created a ticket, but it was closed without any answer after 24h wait.60Views0likes0CommentsDAI: connection to dragon age keep lost (PS5).
Hi everyone! Recently I have been having some problems with Dragon Age: Inquisition. I wanted to start a new game on my ps5 but I cannot connect to the dragon age keep server. Every time I open the game the connection is lost. I don't want to import a world state, just the armors and weapons I collected in the previous gameplays. I tried redownloading the game and manually access dragon age keep on my pc in order to import what I need in my game, still it doesn’t work. if someone has some ideas or solutions I would be very grateful, thanks.LoGhost_1232 months agoSeasoned Newcomer86Views1like2CommentsIs it possible to obtain Dragon Age: Origins and 2 DLCs on EA app
I know that Dragon Age: Origins and DA2 DLCs were made free after removing BioWare points in 2022. Everywhere I searched I found that to get them I would have to purchase them in Origin Launcher in Extra Content tab. Unfortunatly Origin Servers were shut down a month ago. Can I somehow obtain them for free on EA app? I have standard editions of both games on EA app. I know that it is possible to download some of them from this page "https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/dlc-for-classic-games/#dragonage", but as far as I know there should be more, for example the HD texture pack for DA2 and Awakening for DA:O. Is buying whole games again from EA app store really the only way to get those DLCs to show in the launcher?130Views0likes1CommentDragon Age Keep refusing to allow me access to world state editor
This has been an on going problem for 3days now. I cannot get dragon age keep to allow me to access any sort of function what so ever. I am able to login to the world state editor but will immediately receive an error message telling me to refresh and retry. The system worked fine less than a month ago. I have insured both login emails and are the same. I’ve cleared all cache, cookies, browsing history etc. my VPN is currently disabled. As well as my virus protector. I have tried logging in from different browsers both PC and mobile.. (screenshot is mobile) I am able to login fine through a different account that doesn’t have DA on it but am unable to even share world states with my main account as a friend. Please help! also a note: it currently says it’s “not synced” I have opened 2 separate cases and have heard nothing case numbers: 210884721 & 210958714SakuraPink942 months agoSeasoned Newcomer118Views1like1CommentCan't launch DAI (Dragon age inquisition)
i just got Dragon Age inquisition from Epic Store when i try to launch it through Epic it launches EA app then the EA app crashes and the game doesn't launch, i tried all known TS like "Uninstalling, updating graphic driver, compatibility mode and Run and administrator, still no luckELNa3sh002 months agoRising Newcomer87Views0likes3CommentsDragon Age: Inquisition missing DLCs when I try to load save
Exactly what the title says. I click continue on the menu screen and it says something along the lines of "this version of the game used DLCs, you don't have them" and lists the DLCs I "don't" have. I do have them, that's how I've been playing this entire time. My Xbox PC game pass subscription ran out and I renewed it, ever since then I can't continue my saved games. BTW I do use mods and I have the GOTY version of the game, which comes with all the DLCs because of my EA/Xbox game pass subscription Edit: I removed my mods for the time being, but the game still won't recognize the DLCs Update: The "missing DLC" issue has been solved, but a new problem has arisen. The error window at the start menu now says that my saved patch is a newer version and that I need to update to the latest patch. I found another post from five months ago detailing the same issue, and they were able to solve the issue. I tried the steps in one of the replies, but when I got to the Admin Command prompt and pasted the file path, it said it wasn't recognized as an internal or external command, operable program, or batch file. I then went to the Windows PowerShell, and it kept saying the term insert character is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. But when I just type "C:\Program Files\EA Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\Update\Patch\" it doesn't give me a success message or an error message.Solved200Views0likes13CommentsDragon Age II will not lauch/load after crashing
Dragon Age 2 loaded this morning just fine, crashed shortly after and gave an error code of EC:10608. So I waited about 20 minutes to reload the game. Now it will not lauch/load at all. I have tried everything from clearing the ea app cache, turning off the overlay, to uninstalling EVERYTHING and reinstalling. When I try to launch DA2 it acts like it is going to load, the launch icon pops up on screen then nothing happens. It just disappears and the EA app pops back up on screen, without any error codes to go off of Anyone able to help at all? This is seriously beyond infuriating, especially aftert all the bs I went through with getting DA:O to run and getting ZERO help from EA support. I got blown off by support telling me "you bought the EA play from steam, go ask them for help". However Steam won't even let you put in a support ticket because "Unfortunately, Steam Support cannot provide the best assistance with games made by other companies." and then nothing when i try to put in a support ticket...Forsaken19793 months agoSeasoned Newcomer77Views0likes3Comments
