PS5 Veilguard, no HDR
When I open the graphics settings, only brightness and contrast are available in the settings, not HDR configuration. I saw another message here where the player was able to fix it by forcing HDR in PS5 settings, but that doesn’t work for me. I am able to use HDR in other games, so it’s not an issue with my PS5/TV connection.BadKen16 days agoRising Rookie45Views0likes0CommentsShout out to EA
Shout out to EA for making bioware release a game before it was ready. Im not even mad at bioware for dragon age veilguard. I know they had plans to make it so much better and actually match the rest of the franchise. Bit, EA is so money hungry that they just want to push out unfinished products so that people get all disappointed and mad at the game itself for being such a let down. You suck, EA. Seriously. Why wont you let people finish their games? I waited like 10 years for this game to come out just to be frustrated. The ending was absolutely trash. The writing was poorly written. It was so obviously unfinished. It felt like a bunch of rough drafts smashed together in order to make a deadline because that's exactly what it is. The combat is crap. Even on story difficulty im getting spammed like crazy. Can't dodge roll because the hit boxes are so massive I could be feet away from the enemy and still get knocked down. Then you get 4 reavers in one battle while their all spamming the same 3 moves over and over again. The romances are crap. Most of the plot made no sense. Like the Harding thing. Why go through all those quests with her having those unique powers all for them not to be used at all. You get one whole kiss scene with a love interest and at the end of the game you dont even get a celebration scene. It just fades to black. Seriously? The only entertaining part in the whole game was Solas turning into the wolf, and the only reason that was kept was because it was in the trailer, otherwise EA would've mostly likely had them change that too. Like they changed everything else. Like bro, let bioware cook. They dont need your bullcrap or your deadlines. I love bioware, but I'm beginning to hate EA. Between this is and the Sims, you guys are failing so badly I'm surprised you are even profiting. Good luck in the future, because there are a lot of people like me, ready to drop EA completely and never spend another dime on your trash. K, thanks bye. Hope you have the lives you deserve!ElijahTaranis4 months agoSeasoned Newcomer128Views2likes0CommentsTo EA Games & BioWare – Please Release the Blood Dragon Armor
Dear EA Games and the amazing team at BioWare, As long-time fans of the Dragon Age series, we’re beyond excited for the release of The Veilguard. This franchise has given us unforgettable stories, deep choices, and some of the most iconic gear in RPG history. One of those legendary pieces is the Blood Dragon Armor — a true symbol of the series. From Dragon Age: Origins to Mass Effect 2, this armor became a fan favorite for its unique design and powerful presence. That’s why we’re asking, as passionate fans: Please include the Blood Dragon Armor as a pre-order bonus in Dragon Age: The Veilguard! It would be a perfect nod to the roots of the franchise. A meaningful gift for returning fans. And a powerful marketing moment for the game's release. We’d love nothing more than to once again don that crimson armor and walk into the Fade feeling like true Wardens. Let’s honor the legacy — and carry it proudly into this new chapter. With respect and excitement, – A loyal Dragon Age fan who never forgot Ferelden8eafac0b915926fd9 months agoRising Newcomer105Views1like0CommentsMy DAV Feedback: I don't actually hate the game.
Overall, Dragon Age: Veilguard is shaping up to be a solid RPG in its own right, but as part of the Dragon Age franchise, it feels somewhat disconnected from the series’ established lore and tone. Here are some specific areas where I think the game could improve or benefit from more attention: Lore and Setting Consistency While Veilguard works well as a standalone fantasy RPG or even a spin-off, it struggles to feel like a true Dragon Age title. The series has long been known for its dark, medieval fantasy world with mature political and moral themes. The shift in tone and presentation in Veilguard risks losing the depth and atmosphere that made the earlier games so beloved. Staying closer to the established lore and moral complexity would help it resonate more with long-time fans. Character Depth and Representation It’s great to see Veilguard continue the series’ tradition of inclusivity, including LGBT+ characters like the non-binary companion. However, representation works best when it’s woven naturally into complex, multifaceted characters. In previous games like Inquisition, characters’ identities were an important part of who they were, but not their only defining trait. In Veilguard, some companions feel reduced to a single characteristic or label, which limits their emotional depth and the player’s ability to connect with them. Developing these characters beyond their identities would make them feel more authentic and relatable. Player Agency and Dialogue Options One of the strengths of earlier Dragon Age games was the freedom to shape your character’s personality, morals, and playstyle through meaningful dialogue choices. In Veilguard, the dialogue options often feel limited or like variations of the same response, which restricts player agency. It would benefit the game to offer a broader range of meaningful choices, allowing players to truly roleplay and express their unique approach to situations. Bringing in more feedback from fans and the community, and investing in a strong story writing team, could help ensure that the game lives up to the series’ legacy.115Views0likes0CommentsSo I Finally got to the Romance scene...
So I got my female human rogue to the romance scene with Neve. and well in said scene (a scene by the way one could say is far worse then the "romance" scences in Mass Effect) Does my topless female human Rogue look like she has a mans body x.x lol (i play on xbox series x) Veilguard is a great game, I so far love the story and the Varric story line shocked me! That said there are of course some things in this game that make me scratch my head or just not like it. Biggest gripe is Bioware said there would be topless nudity and in the char creator they did this, via the option to just have your female char wear bottom underwear. You then start to play, and get new armor. And if you are like me, you take your old chest peice off, thinking your char will be wearing nothing under but her underwear. Well wrong she is fully covered, And to find out the only time you see the toplessness is in a 30 second [removed] romance scene. Guess I am saying what was the point of Bioware/Ea in giving you/me the option of full toplessness just to make it so you can't run around the game killing [removed] with just pant armor LOL. Guess they just said there would be topless nudity to try to see copies of the game to then say hey suckers we lied to you again! Help needed. Do you know how to get to this chest? It is crossroads as on pictures below. I can't get there, there are ruins on the way. I have completed all missions already, I'm almost finishing the game and I wanted to clear out stuff like this.e53fc8409a4cf4d91 year agoNewcomer51Views0likes0CommentsBuilds... You got 'Em... I wanna steal 'Em!
I love the new combat system and skill trees! I have burnt waaaay too many hours tearing through this game. The combat is probably the second biggest reason for my hours played. So, naturally, I am a huge fan of tinkering with my builds to get every last drop of DPS, stagger, mana regen, etc... out of my characters. And they are ALL different, because we have SO MANY options from stats to build around. Like, wow! It's crazy. ***Continued below*** My Veil Jumper is actually using an alternate build in that screenshot. He is all AoE, necrotic, and damage based off of arrow count. IFYKYK... ***Continued*** Specifically, I am looking for a good Veil Ranger build for my final character. Preferably, non-necrotic... I actually want a challenge! HaHa Again, IFYKYK... Also, if you want to show off your Rook's build, in general, I love trying to read your play style through your gear. I need an excuse to put off more chores. Cheers!Oziis1 year agoSeasoned Rookie91Views0likes0Commentsmy pride is shot
just wanted to whine about my hurt pride. I pride myself on being an extremely thorough explorer yet in my playthrough, once I got to the point of no return, i was only at 80% lore found!!!! I'm not sure how many more i got in the final parts, I didn't think to check but there you go 😭. In a similar vein, are some maps bugged? I swear I found almost all of the chests yet on some maps(lighthouse for one) i solved a riddle and returned later to find 2 chests, yet my map says I'm still at 0/2??? a few other maps are like that, i have all chests with a checkmark to say I found them yet my count is off. just wondered. happy gaminggalahad13131 year agoNew Novice28Views0likes0CommentsVeilguard is a delightful game
I just came here to say, that I have found this game to be utterly delightful. Impressive Elven ruins, interesting magical devices, likeable characters. I'm on my 4th playthrough (I think I like the Rogue class the best... bows and dual wielding swords) This is not from the perspective of a Dragon Age fan (moreover, I was reading all the things people were complaining about and said hmm... I might like this one), I could never get into those games. Anyway, praise where it's due, Bioware/EA. I've always been a fan of the Mass Effect series (I even like Andromeda... sad that the plug got pulled and there were no expansions) and Veilguard has me similarly invested.TheRealGrogan1 year agoRising Novice51Views3likes0CommentsDear EA CEOs and shareholders
As a longtime Bioware fan and video gamer, I'm NOT interested in: multiplayer, your microtransaction money grabs, your blatant disregard for your employees, your ignorance toward video games as a form of art, your insulting stance that only people under 25 play video games, you disinterest whether a game is hitting the mark in terms of lore consistency which directly ties into your disrespect toward the fans. It is so apparent that you are out of touch with the people who would happily give you all the money they don't even have if they got a sense that you were trying to stay true to them and franchise games they have been following for decades. But I hear you think games failed because "people want multiplayer" - NO, WE DO NOT! Did you learn nothing from Dragon Age pervious successes and Baldurs Gate 3? No, you did not, because you don't consume games, you just try to bleed people dry and move on. I hope you step barefoot on Lego bricks every day for the rest of your lives.HelixWren1 year agoRising Newcomer59Views1like0CommentsCross-Save Xbox-PC-PS
Hey, Hello, I have DAG on both PC and Xbox. I think it would be great if it were possible to synchronize the saves between the platforms. Similar to what is possible with Cyberpunk 2077 or Ubisoft titles like Far Cry 6. Is there any information on whether something similar is planned?-Lutz-Canon-1 year agoNewcomer76Views0likes0CommentsPC Xbox Cloud Gaming
Hi! Two months ago, in a post titled "Xbox to PC save game transfer," EA Shepard responded by saying that you can launch DAV from the Xbox PC app in cloud gaming mode (which allows you to play with your Xbox save on PC). However, DAV is not available on Xbox cloud gaming... Did I miss something? Thanks!Kalwisha1 year agoRising Newcomer43Views0likes0CommentsEA App- Steam (PC)
If i played the Trial version of dragon age (attempted to download from xbox pc app but then took me to the PC EA app) and progressed in the game (EA App) and my Trial ends. Would my progression continue where i left off it i fully purchase the game on Steam? or do i have to start over? im assuming Steam would just open the EA app? or maybe that's just the Xbox App that does that. not sure. does anyone know? cause i want to buy the game on steam but obviously if i cant continue where i left off i probably wont buy it on steam and just buy it on the EA app thank you23Views0likes0CommentsDragon Age™: The Veilguard Patch 5 (PC/Console)
