Urgent Need to Address Menu Lag in NHL 25 and beyond.

However, like many players in the community, I’ve been frustrated by the persistent lag and sluggishness in the menu system The Problem Navigating the menus has become a tedious experience due to: 1.Slow Response Times: Whether I’m accessing the auction house, building my lineup, or navigating through event rewards, menus frequently lag or take several seconds to respond to inputs. 2.Unnecessary Delays: Animations, loading screens, and data fetching often make even simple tasks feel unnecessarily drawn out. 3.Performance Issues Across Platforms: While this problem is particularly noticeable on last-gen consoles (PS4/Xbox One), even current-gen platforms struggle, making it clear that the issue is systemic. Why This Matters Hockey Ultimate Team is a flagship mode for NHL 25. Its success depends on smooth, enjoyable user interaction. When basic navigation feels frustrating, it detracts from the overall experience and diminishes the fun of building and managing a team. For a mode that thrives on engagement, menu lag can lead to player burnout and a decrease in overall satisfaction. Potential Causes: While we, as players, don’t have access to the underlying systems, it seems like: Server-side dependency issues might be causing excessive load times when fetching data (e.g., auction house updates). Poor optimization of menu assets, animations, or database calls could be adding unnecessary strain on the system. Outdated frameworks or “spaghetti code” may be contributing to the sluggish performance. Constructive Suggestions for Improvement Here are a few ideas the development team might consider to help resolve these issues: 1.Optimize Client-Side Performance: Streamline UI assets and animations and implement lazy-loading for non-essential elements to reduce strain on hardware. 2.Enhance Server Efficiency: Use caching and batching to reduce the frequency of server calls for repetitive data (e.g., frequently accessed items in the auction house). 3.Increase Transparency: Keep the community updated with detailed notes on performance improvements in patches. Acknowledging and addressing the issue directly will build trust with the player base. 4.Focus on Testing and QA: Stress-test the system under heavy load to ensure it performs well during peak times. ERRORS
mistakes 1) there are extremely few shots on goal in 1 period 2) puck poking doesn't work with hybrid control. 3) it takes the goalie 100 years to play the puck. 4) the game doesn't feel like fear play to me due to the big differences in control full control made the game unfair, why can't you pass with hybrid control exactly like with full control. that's just a small list of why the game is getting worse and worse.please more creative objectives
It would be great to have more varied Objectives. Objectives in which the silver and bronze cards also play are more important role. I would like to build teams from other leagues to complete Objectives. Here are a few examples : - Score 10 goals with a team of only bronze players (any mode) - Give 20 assists with a team that has at least 9 players from the DEL league. (any mode) - Give 100 hits with a team made up of only Swedish players. (any mode) - Win 5 games with a team that has a maximum overall of 80. (any mode) Please EA be a bit more creative with the Objectives and make the bronze and silver cards more valuable in the game.
Lack of Oilers Cards
Severe lack of content for Oilers. Here's some suggestions Podkolzin needs a Next Gen card (3 goals in the last 3 games) Kapanen needs a transaction card Draisaitl is among goal leaders in NHL Kulak has 5 goals already as a 3rd pair Defenseman Hyman has no cards (54 goals last season)
Wildcard is the worst mode in HUT ever. We only want the rewards.
It is honestly insufferable playing this garbage mode. But as a free to play player I need the rewards to upgrade my team. 99% of the player base feels the same way. We only play it for the rewards but hate every second we spend playing this mode. The only week that was somewhat ok was the mascots. It was something different. This mode should just have the same rules and gameplay settings from hut rush. Never use a full size rink and make it all arcade settings so it isn't so unbelievably terrible. Literally the only reason a single person suffers through this absolute **bleep** is to get the rewards.Point shot one timers are still too powerful
I've played Champs during two weeks now, once to get Nieuwendyk and once to get Modano. I've succeeded both times, but the D2D's (one timers from the blue line) are extremely overpowered. Its true in Rivals and Champs that some people simply do not do anything else offensively. Now I understand that if I don't block a shot or if I don't take away a lane, it can go in. But when you watch the goalie stand there and move their glove out of the way without dropping to butterfly... It simply cannot and should not go in like that. If the goalie is screened, he is in the butterfly or drops to the butterfly in an attempt to make a save, fine, you can't save them all and you can't block them all. But when the goalie literally freezes and doesn't even attempt to save a shot he can clearly see all the way, its not right. In Champs, its even more highlighted and quite frankly, Champs for me is where I have to switch to tight point defense because otherwise I can't win any games as so much of people's offense runs through the blue line, which is a clear sign that it is far too effective. The goalie needs to react to shots they can see, its not realistic nor is it conducive to a competitive environment to have a goalie not even attempt a save when he can clearly see the puck.
X-Factor cards, bad value
So you spent 2M coins for 1 x-factor captain and after 2 months they are still 84-85 overall. I made all 4 of them (+McDavid) and I really regret it. I thought they would at least match the current MSP players but after 2 months they are still in my 3rd line, excluding McDavid. EA_Aljo
HUT Challenge disappearing before all objectives complete
Hey y’all, I’ve been grinding the Devils Flash Challenge today (with 1D and a few hours before it expires) and I completed a handful of the objectives. When redeeming my rewards for some of them, the entire list of objectives disappeared with a note saying “Awesome! You’ve completed all available objectives in this group!” I am 100% certain that there was time left on the challenges and there were several objectives that weren’t finished yet. The progress trackers are all gone and I didn’t receive any rewards for the incomplete objectives. Anyone else have this issue/have any advice for obtaining the rewards despite not seeing the objectives? Thanks in advance!Why is everything so broken right now?
Hey all. Has anyone else noticed that sets aren’t working properly, cards are missing from your collection, and sets are showing the wrong number of collectibles for sets? I understand the multi select has been broken since launch, seriously EA it’s nearly December this **bleep** should’ve been fixed on launch day, but sets are just completely busted right now. Certain players won’t get added to a set, and only one item is being added sometimes. Additionally, players seem to be disappearing after sending them to the collection. I pulled an 83 Fox, and he seems to have vanished from my collection. I would love to know why the game is even more broken than usual.
Can’t apply purple XP tokens to upgrade purple xp player
Today I unlocked the goalie kocheykov in HUT his overall can be upgraded to 88 well I have many upgrade cards, attached be low. The screenshot shows what happens when I go to apply these to the goalie it shows as if nothing is there. i have upgraded him two slot but the game is not recognizing my further XP tokens to upgrade him the remainder. As we can see I have many xp tokens ready to be used for the upgrade *glitch in the matrix what gives?

I dominated my opponent who struggled to get 11 shots on net. You can see I had a ton of high danger shots that could have easily went in. Yet I am the one who is punished for playing harder and more skillfully than my opponent. This is ridiculous and it's the reason why the player population is dwindling.
