We need an explanation how ICONs and HEROs will work.
I mean, I like those cards but I dont want to buy them because I dont know if we can trade them for the next sets of ICONs and HEROs. Please tell us if they will work like Team builders last year? Or do we have to build them like normal MSPs? If we can't trade the old ICONs and HEROs to new ones, they will be such a bad value and not worth it. I'm not buying packs with real money until this is clear. EA_Aljo
Line Combos confusion
So on the new tweet released today it seems like the combos we can use are selected by EA? Or is it team and country based along with the boosts EA gives out? Because I know the majority of the community myself included was really excited to play with a theme team and get away from everyone having the same team.How are you supposed to get undefeated rewards?
I can't get the undefeated rewards no matter how hard i try and this is seriously becoming a big problem. It's not because of the difficulty or because I can't win, no, I beat the computer every single time, that's far from the issue. The issue is the random disconnects because of the servers or I'll run into a bug where I have to restart the game. For example: I was playing my 18th game of a season and in between periods my players were completely stuck and nothing fixed it I tried pausing and unpausing (didn't work) I tried just waiting there (waited there a good 10 minutes and nothing) so because of that screw me right? I don't get the undefeated reward. The other 2 seasons I got randomly disconnected one of them in the finals on the very last game. This system sucks, and it's beyond frustrating. I have very high speed internet and when I disconnect I can log right back in instantly so I know it's EA's potato servers. I'm giving it one more season, I swear to the heavenly god above, one more season if I don't get the undefeated reward because of something that's completely out of my control I'm going to ask for a refund or just stop playing because this is stupid and it's just screwing offline players over.
Sets in HUT 26
Please tell me, sets have been made better? Search for cards was awful in 25, as you could not change the search for just the specific cards for the set. For example: for 77 set, you saw all your cards above 77 ovr and always had to go to the very end of countless amount of pages to find the cards you want.Disconnects during chase for the cup
Hey so far a pretty positive experience with nhl 26. regarding to the rewards for going undefeated in chase for the cup. I’ve been disconnected twice now and it’s not the end of the world but when it gives me a loss already I feel a lot less urge to play. Hoping you can keep that as a consideration going forward.
Nothing has changed.
I stopped playing competitive online games with NHL20 because 90% of all opponents and their players were way too fast. I then only played team battles, just like with NHL21 and NHL22. I stopped playing NHL23 and NHL24 altogether, and I only recently started playing NHL25 again because my son was visiting and saw that you could download NHL25 for free. It was the same with NHL25: you played 30 games online, lost 29 because your opponents were too fast, and won 1 because that player was just as fast as your own players, and you just played better. So I thought, well, I'll just pre-order NHL26, and today, after exactly 3 games, I realized that nothing had changed at all. Actually, everyone should be equally fast at the beginning, but the truth is, in those 3 games, all 3 opponents were much faster than me. You can set whatever you want, but nothing helps. So I'll just play the cup competition again in this game and won't invest a single cent more in this game.Cup Chase sets are a joke. HUT seems to only be for pack purchasers this year.
EA nerfed the rewards so badly they are trying to force the player base to spend money on the game. This is ridiculous, 20 games of cup chase, 35 collectables, you get no coins and one card from the set. If EA wants NMS players out of the game they sure as heck are doing a good job of that. No incentive to play at all.
First feedback for improving HUT in NHL 26
Dear developers, I'd like to leave my first feedback on the HUT mode. It's not my main game mode — I'm more of a casual player here — but there are still some annoying issues I hope you'll be able to fix through future game patches. 1. Team Setup. Right now, all players are shown at once — which is genuinely convenient and helps you see everything clearly for making swaps. But here's the downside: the font showing player positions and handedness is way too small. I almost have to press my face against the TV to read it! Please consider an alternative — for example, show an enlarged card preview when hovering over a player. I believe this feature existed in WildCard mode in NHL 25. 2. Multi-select cards when adding to Sets. Having to select cards one by one is incredibly tedious. In NHL 24 and earlier versions, we could select multiple cards at once. But in NHL 25–26, this feature seems broken. Please fix it — I'm sure I'm not the only one complaining about this… Thank you for listening to feedback and making the game better. Let's keep improving it together!
Chel Weeks MSP Sets
Random issue I had and not sure how to fix it or who to reach out to. For the Kadri MSP set, I had a base item go into the Chel Weeks player spot and the item disappeared, says there is 1/5 items in the set but there is no visual of a card in any of the slots. Wondering how to fix this?Lack of objectives for coins
EA, Please consider adding back the objectives for coins like in previous years (goals, shots, hits, etc). Not only I feel like there is very few things to grind the game for but it's also very hard to make any coins to buy items. It kinda ruins my desire to play the game. At least if you don't add objectives, you should bump up the amount of coins we gain for a game played (especially against All star and Superstar CPU. Thank you
Cup Chase-Different difficulties-does it matter?
Hey. Couldn’t find this information anywhere. Does the chosen difficulty matter in terms of rewards or something else? I’ve always played in the highest difficulty SB games in previous NHL games and points earned were higher with higher difficulty. Now I started on Superstar, highest, difficulty but I am not sure if it matters. Thanks!
Unbalanced rewards for Cup Chase and Competitive
So I just looked at the rewards for competitive play and wow makes cup chase even more of a joke. Basically EA has said who cares about the players who want to play HUT but don’t enjoy competitive play. They’d rather play squad battles or now cup chase to enjoy themselves. It’s like saying my neighbors little girls tricycle is going to beat you Lamborghini in a race. Yes that bad of a comparison. You’re constantly each level getting packs with multiple cards in them versus cup chase big whopping 1 fricken card. That’s after playing 22 games too. What a JOKE. Last years game I didn’t touch 1 game of competitive. Why? Cuz I’m 50 and don’t enjoy online play anymore. I enjoy HUT but play squad battles. That being said I’d put my team up against any team out there. I had ovr of 98 last year. That was with skipping months of playing around the stanley cup event. I still ended up a 98. With the way it is this year? Pfffttt that won’t happen. There’s no rewards in it. I can’t be the only player who feels this way or plays HUT this way. I enjoy hockey. Playing competitive is just not enjoyable. Come on EA cater to both types of players. We paid the same to play your game. Fix this!!!!
