🔧 The Proposal
Replace generic star ratings with a discipline-based rank system, tailored to each martial art’s real-world structure. Not one-size-fits-all—each discipline has its own rank progression, unlockables, and meaningful milestones: 🥋 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: White → Blue → Purple → Brown → Black → Coral 🥊 Boxing: Amateur record tiers + Golden Gloves, regional/national titles 🦶 Muay Thai: Stadium titles (Lumpinee, Rajadamnern), Mongkhon/armband ranks 🏋️♂️ Wrestling: Tournament wins → All-American → NCAA Champion 🥷 Karate: Traditional belt path (White → Black) 🥋 Judo: Traditional belt path 🥋 Taekwondo: White → Black belt system 🥊 Kickboxing: Pro fight record + IKF/WKL titles 🥋 Sambo: Master of Sport ranks 🕺 Capoeira: Cordão rope system 🎮 How Career Mode & CAF Work with This Choose 2–3 core disciplines for your fighter. Train in discipline-specific academies or gyms. Level up through drills, matches, promotions, or tournament wins. Rank progression unlocks advanced moves—combat flow, submissions, striking combos, and transitions. Your profile displays belts, cords, medals, or titles—showcasing style identity. ✅ Why This Is a Game Changer Authentic Fighter Identity: Earned milestones, not slider stars. Deeper Immersion: Real progression tied to actual martial systems. Enhanced Replay Value: Build a wrestler, Muay Thai kickboxer, or a hybrid specialist with purpose. UFC Branding Alignment: Mirrors real fighter journeys—rankings, titles, belts. 🎯 Benefits for EA & Players Better retention: players chase real milestones, not abstract stats. Easier community engagement: we’ll talk about belt ranks and stadium titles—content spikes. Marketing hook: “Earn your belt” campaign could draw in BJJ/Muay Thai communities. Legacy momentum: sets UFC 6 up with Career Mode depth unmatched in fighting games. ✅ TL;DR Move from stars to real rankings—belts, awards, titles. Add meaning, style, and emotion to CAF and Career Mode. It’s authentic, measurable, shareable—and beyond just stat upgrades. I believe this framework could become the signature progression system of UFC 6 and beyond. I’m ready to jump into detailed doc outlines, move unlock trees, or mock-ups if this resonates. Appreciate you reading—looking forward to helping shape the future of UFC gameplay. – Mike Alessi (lifelong fan & franchise veteran)x4nheeydc59t4 days agoRising Newcomer23Views1like0CommentsCan't use UFC 5 online
I own UFC 5 throw game pass / EA play. Since 2 days ago, servers don't allow me to go online saying to check my connection or try later. My internet works fine, I can play other games and my Xbox is wired via LAN. I've reinstalled the game, checked that my subscriptions are up to date, but still can't play. Any help?agomezalv5 days agoNewcomer43Views0likes1CommentWhy is this game rigged?
Been playing over 300hours now and 290 of them has been in online career. And i started pretty early on to suspect that something was not right. Like sometimes your char will block a hit when you dont even press any of the block Buttons. Its a bit weird that you always have pretty much the same win streak as you do lose streak. And i noticed that when you win alot your punches And kicks dont do the same amount of damage And you get rocken alot easier. This has been tested by facing the same opponents And if i have lost alot i win pretty easy And if i won alot i losepretty easy. So i started to google about And sure there where many other people who noticed the same things And its something ea games done before like in Fifa. But I dont understand why yoy do it. Ufc is about skills And since we level up in online career there is also stats that help you get stronger. I totalt lost the intressest now that i know there is dda i think its called in this game.ettansweden5 days agoRising Novice33Views0likes0CommentsThings to fix in UFC 5 ..
As the current Featherweight Champion, Ilia deserves an accurate representation in terms of: 🔹 Facial features – His current model does not resemble him at all, missing key facial details and realism. 🔹 Body structure – The model doesn’t reflect his real physique, which is more muscular and defined. 🔹 Fighting style – His striking and counter-attacks should feel faster and more powerful, matching his real-life performance. 🔹 Overall realism – As one of the top names in the UFC right now, he deserves more attention to detail in the game. Many players in the community share this sentiment, and we hope to see an improved and updated version of Ilia Topuria in the next patch or major update.vwarxz6 days agoNewcomer24Views0likes0CommentsAlter Egos
Not being able to unlock alter egos other than fight week or purchasing them in the store is and was a horrible move for this game, especially not even having details to why something is locked to begin with and if you’ve purchased the game later than most not being able to go back and complete challenges is stupid, something needs to be done about thisSouldure8 days agoNewcomer27Views0likes0CommentsOpen Letter to EA & Support
I'll make you a deal. You fix the Von Flue Choke, Imanari Roll, all the wheel kicks, & whatever other moves are broken and can't be used and I'll buy your samurai content. The game has been out since October 24th, 2023 and these glitches are widely known and acknowledged but EA hasn't fixed ANY of them. As a gamer think about how frustrating it would be to see moves listed that are impossible to perform. The fact that you haven't even bothered to remove references to them in the game is insulting. This is pure laziness and disregard for the consumer experience. But hey it's cool have a Samurai helmet instead. What a joke.ef43a2111ada209411 days agoRising Newcomer30Views0likes0CommentsEA SPORTS UFC 5
Hi EA Sports UFC team, I really enjoy playing UFC 5, especially the online modes. However, I’ve noticed that when defending submissions online, the directional indicators (the arrows) are not shown. I understand that this is to keep it competitive, but it makes it very hard for new or mid-level players to defend properly. I’d like to suggest an option that allows players to see the submission direction indicators only when holding R2 (block). This would give players the ability to choose whether they want assistance or not – without breaking the competitive balance. I believe this small change could make the online experience more accessible, while still keeping it fair for everyone. Thank you for the great game and all the work you put in! In offline career mode I have the stamina set to -100% for myself +30% for the CPU since I put it on simulation and then changed it to benefit myself. However when it comes to training there is no difference or effect. We're both on even playing fields. Please fix this bug! I'm on xbox cloud since EA can't figure out that people on PC like to play their games.Matty1Monopoly12 days agoRising Vanguard21Views0likes0CommentsMinor Issues
Just wanted to drop a quick note about UFC 5. I think a couple of tweaks could make the game even better: 1. Bruce Buffer Announcing CAF Names - Right now, when I create custom fighters, Bruce Buffer doesn’t announce their names. It really takes away from the immersion, especially in Career Mode or during created events. It would be awesome to have more flexible name options or even some AI-generated callouts to amp up the realism. 2. Shorts Length Issue – The broad-style shorts don’t look the same as they do on real fighters. Like, the Junior Dos Santos Alter Ego has longer shorts that go down near the knees, but when I put that style on my custom fighter, they end up being way shorter. It’d be cool if this could be adjusted for a more accurate look. Thanks for all the hard work on the game. These changes would definitely help make creating fighters and gameplay feel way more complete. Training is bugged in career mode. 1st off none of the gameplay settings such as stamina, power, movement speed work. 2nd and main problem is that I'm currently told to press R1 & A to do a hip toss in the clinch. But when I am in the clinch, holding R1+A, nothing happens. I'm playing on Xbox Cloud because EA is too stupid to figure out that people on PC want to play their game.Matty1Monopoly13 days agoRising Vanguard20Views0likes0CommentsUpdate: EA ruined more fighter heights than I thought, do you guys even care?
Wow, after doing a little digging, I realized you guys have successfully butchered MULTIPLE fighter’s heights after this most recent update. You guys won’t fix the ones that are obviously broken, but you’ll waste no time ruining the heights of fighters that were “fine” before this most recent update. But what is fine exactly? Is there really even a point of reference for heights anymore? You can compare one supposedly 6’1 fighter like Bryan Battle, to another supposedly 6’1 fighter like Shavkat and the heights aren’t even remotely close to similar. You guys really just don’t give af, and I’m tired of playing around you guys’ mess ups. I guess the games officially ruined for me, much appreciated EA👍🏼CodyPearce20913 days agoSeasoned Traveler15Views0likes0CommentsEA, I’m not sure what to expect, but please hear me out
As said in the title, I’m not sure what to expect, as these kinds of bugs don’t seem to get much attention.. by either the staff or the players, as shown with fighters like Serghei Spivac or Marina Rodriguez… but fighter heights are constantly getting ruined after almost each and every update. I took a screenshot of Natalia Silva, because I knew you guys were going to update her after her win against Alexa Grasso.. and sure enough, she went down about an inch in height after this most recent update. This almost ruins the game for me, because I can’t use her in my custom events anymore and she’s my favorite female UFC fighter. And It’s not just with the 3 I’ve already mentioned though. If you guys actually care enough you can test me right now with fighters like Joaquin Buckley (stats say he’s 5’10, while in game other 5’10 fighter tower him), Aljamain Sterling (who, when compared to other 5’7 featherweights, they’re obviously taller), and seemingly a majority of other fighters in the game. Why do you guys even include the heights of fighters in their stats, if you’re just going to carelessly make them whatever you feel like doing and ruin the game for people like me, who have OCD and care about that kind of thing? You’ve completely ruined the game for me, and making custom events was my favorite thing to do while I’m at home. Even if you won’t address all mentioned, can you atleast fix Natalia Silva’s height back to “normal” and show a little more care the next time you have to update another fighter in game? I used to appreciate you guys so much, but now I’m starting to question that.CodyPearce20913 days agoSeasoned Traveler21Views0likes0CommentsUFC 5 - Update 1.23 Patch Notes
