Re: Origin is ls slowing down my computer

Never mind I got it to work. This is what it said after I did the steps.

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.
For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at

@KittyKat9696  Okay, that's a good result.  There is a newer driver listed for your laptop, the one labeled "AMD High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver (Windows 10 v1709)," from November 2017.  Try installing that, and then reinstall Origin and see how it goes.  When running Origin, launch it immediately after restarting your laptop, don't open anything else (except Sims 4 if you want to test it), and let me know whether it's still slow.  If it is, please run another dxdiag.

@KittyKat9696  I meant that you could try the graphics driver from November 2017 on HP's download page:

    https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-17-ak000-laptop-pc/15551430/model/18164746?sku=2TZ57UA

If it doesn't help, you can try the newer one directly from AMD, and in that case, you'd want the recommended driver, not the optional one.  But HP software sometimes blocks non-HP drivers from being installed, and most laptop manufacturers tweak the drivers a bit to work better with their specific models.  So it's usually better to see if the driver offered by the manufacturer works before trying something else.

Yay so origin doesn't slow down my computer anymore and I was able to open the sims 4 without any issues. Thank you soooo much! 😃
