Re: sims 4 crashing in create a sim mac
@senjr12lol, do you use any Mods or CC? If you do, move your entire Sims 4 folder (Documents > Electronic Arts > Sims 4) to your Desktop and Do NOT Delete it! This is where your saved games are stored. Next start up Sims 4, remembering that none of your CC, Mods or Saved Games will be present, start a new game to test if CAS (Create A Sim) works and play for about an hour to see if any additional problems occur.
If CAS works ok without the Mods or CC, you have either an outdated Mod or bad CC which is causing the game to crash. Please remember that all Mods were rendered useless with the November 13th patch and the creators of the Mods must update them in order for them to run within the game. Unfortunately there is not a program designed to run on the Mac OS to identify bad CC and you'll have to manually cull your CC. I suggest adding back about 10 items at a time, starting up your game and seeing if it runs correctly. Repeat this process as necessary until the game stops working. Then you can narrow down the bad CC from one of the "new" pieces you added back into the game.
Please report back to let us know if this solved your problem.
