Does it work using the CMD and the up and down arrow keys?

Have you changed any keyboard settings in System Preferences? Or installed any software, for example video editing apps, that have overriden the default settings on your Mac?

It does work with Cmd + up/down, thankfully. That saves me from the system being unusable, but it is a little inconvenient.
Added a couple accessibility hotkeys, but nothing to or from Cmd + W. I checked the Keyboard section to see if there were any conflicts and didn't see any. Are there are other places I should look?
Haven't installed any software *but* I did update the OS dramatically––from El Capitan to High Sierra.

Are you running the Legacy Edition of the game? Just wondering if you are because of running old versions of macOS (which shouldn't have made any changes to keyboard settings).

If you reset the changes you made in System Preferences does the camera then work as expected?
