Welp. Now i've removed my sims 4 file to desktop and started the game all over. And it's still happening, the sims 4 and my iMac are both up to date so i've got no clue how on earth this could be happening.
So basically right now I have a game that i've spent hundreds of dollars on, that just sits on my computer for fun. Can't use it at all.
Please can you provide more information about your Mac. Instructions on how to do so and what to provide here - http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-Mac/READ-FIRST-Sims-4-Mac-Help-Guides-and-Troubleshooting/m-p/4612396/highlight/true#M162
Have you tried repairing the game in Origin?
Is this what you need? I've tried repairing the game around 5 times now and nothings changed, as well as of course moving my sims 4 file to my desktop.

Can you move the whole Sims 4 folder to the desktop from Documents > Electronic Arts then try this super repair - https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Mac/READ-FIRST-Sims-4-Mac-Help-Guides-and-Troubleshooting/m-p/4612394#M815
