I've moved your post into this ongoing thread around the 16" MacBook Pros as they are displaying similar issues.

Can you have a look at the opening post on page 1 and try the suggestions. Your problems in Newcrest look like the problems in San Myshuno which I think also affects specific lots.

Do you think this happened after the 18 August patch?

    And I can’t say for certain it was due to the patch, but I can definitely confirm it happened after the 18th. So yes, there’s a strong possibility it might have been due to the patch. =(
