Did all of that too
doesn't work
I even tried reinstall the Windows as last resort, but doesn't help at all.
- @UmiOcha some things i found on the web that might help:
-disable ultra low latency mode in nvidia control panel
-set physics engine to either cpu or gpu (see whats best) instead of auto
what i think u should try:
-acer support for ur laptop gives the driver 382.48
https://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Driver/VGA/VGA_nVidia_22.21.13.8248_W10x64_A.zip?acerid=636359448149756454&Step1=NOTEBOOK&Step2=PREDATOR&Step3=PREDATOR%20G3-572&OS=ALL&LC=en&BC=ACER&SC=AAP_9
try it with a clean install (nvidia->custom install->clean install)
things to try:
-play at a lower resolution not to choke gpu
-try to underclock the gpu
-see if you are running latest bios of the predator laptop
-run a heaven benchmark and see if the error occurs at any time -there is no ultra low latency in m nvidia control panel so i think it doesn't support
-phyx to either cpu , gpu or auto doesn't work
-tried use the driver 382.48 that acer give me but the game is shuttering from time to time and it's killing my eyes after playing for 5mins, so i gave up and update back to 442.50
-tried to lower as much as i can 1280*720 but still doesn't work (lower than this will hurt my eyes instead) , i even tried to change FoV to lowest and highest and result still the same
-did underclock , doesn't work
-it's lastest bios coz there is no update since 2017
- @UmiOcha I'm looking at the file dxsupport.cfg in apex legends folder which is not to be edited (it says so).. i found my 1050 ti's vendor id and device id there..
in your case your dxdiag shows for your 1060:
Vendor ID: 0x10DE
Device ID: 0x1C20
while the file says the correct vendor id there are 3 1060 entries listed and not of them mention your device id 0x1C20..
I'm really not an expert in this subject but i'm wondering why this is and if it has anything to do with the direct x error..
it somehow relates to gpu level setting 1-3 and i notice the more high end card receive a 3 value and the low budget like 1050 a 1 value..
i dont know what this all means but it is interesting - @Konform103 idk about that either
btw my notebook gpu is 1060 6GB idk if it has something to do with that vendor and device ID
i always set all of my games to low setting coz i need performance for the most. bump
still not fixed
use older nvidia drivers
- @ujambo
-Tried reinstall various version of Nvidia Driver eg: 417.71 , 442.50 and various version of lastest version that nvidia always tell me to update
and also 382.48 on #4
doesn't work i was getting this before now i think about it i have a 1060 aswell if i remember right i reinstalled direct x runtime, nvidia drivers, reinstalled the game nothing worked i had to do a reset in windows 10 have you got a system restore point? try that before a reset other than that i cant suggest anything but before you try any of that deleted your respawn folder in saved games under c:/users/your username/saved games on launch the game will redownload that folder its only your config files so nothing to worry about
@ujamboi did deleted Respawn folder, doesn't work
sadly i dont have restore point coz i just reinstalled the windows last month. reinstall directx , driver (both intel, nvidia) , the game , origin or on steam doesn't work either for mebump , where is EA staff to answer this question....?
Been having this issue for about 2 months now. EA staff usually reply once and forget about you.
I personally solved the problem with setting my nvidia program 3D settings for apex back to standard. Before I've had some adjustments there according to some recommendations in the internet. PS: GeForce RTX 2080
nope, doesnt work for me
fresh reinstall after ddu and dont ever bother to enter nvidia cp, randomly crash after 5-15mins
this start to get on my nerve
