Re: Email that I was banned but I don't even play apex

@Rugpulled in case you really want to take care i think this is something you have to discuss with someone of the TOS Team.

The process to contact the ToS Team can be found here:
https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/account/information-about-banned-or-suspended-accounts/

1. Click Contact us at the top of any page on EA Help.
2. Select the game that your account was banned or suspended from. If it’s on your whole EA Account, choose Origin.
3. Choose your platform.
4. Select Manage my account, then Banned or suspended account.
5. Fill out any other details below.
For example, if you picked Origin, it might ask you if you are accessing the game through an Origin Access membership.
6. Click Select contact option.
7. Sign in to your account that has the ban or suspension, if you aren’t already.

  • OK ty I emailed them. Wasn't sure if someone on forums could look into it but I gathered from reading other posts it looks to be a separate team. Hopefully they look into it. Bad luck with saying I was unfairly banned on most platforms, they never actually even check lol. Makes sense as lots of people lie but, in my case, I don't even play it! Haha. Was wondering if maybe someone got into my account and was playing but I don't think so as my email is secure and had no login authorization attempts. Plus I wouldn't know why someone would do that on a free game, I got some skins from twitch prime but nothing rare or exclusive. I just claim because they are free and might as well haha

    Hey @Rugpulled,

Just to clarify on your point about checking whether you even play Apex, this type of action can absolutely indicate that someone else gained access to the account.

These particular actions are taken because of the activity that took place on the account, so even if that wasn't you there was something taking place on the account that led to this ban.

Thanks for reaching out to our Terms of Service team! They should be able to verify what happened to help get this cleared up, but I'd highly suggest going through these steps to secure the account and computer in the meantime, just to be safe.

Once their investigation is complete they will reach back out so please keep an eye on your email.

  • @EA_Mako Well I don't have apex installed and didn't wanna spend the time to install it just to check but I was wondering it might have gotten sent to the wrong person perhaps. I don't have anything on my ban appeals page (it says you have no bans or infractions) but I reached out via email anyway haha

    @Rugpulled
Understandable! This would just indicate that someone used your account for some nefarious purposes, so that notification was sent to the registered email address for the account that was used.

That's why I'd definitely suggest going through those steps to secure the account to be safe.

The ban history page only shows certain specific bans, and as it mentions on that same page other bans may exist that don't appear there. Sorry for any confusion.
