Suddenly Can't Access Older Origin Games

I noticed today that I can't access any of my older games. A few of these games I bought quite recently. I'm getting sent to what I think it a very old site asking me to provide my origin password and ID or the product number of the game. If I enter my email and password for EA I get that the account is not found (but it's find if I sign into EA directly or into the EA app). I tried entering the product code, and it's telling me I'm not connected to the internet. I am indeed connected to the internet.

EA has it on my account and under my purchases. It's just not allowing me to access the game. Sims 4 And Dragon Age Inquisition both work with no issues. I've tried running the game as an administrator. I've tried rebooting my computer, and I've tried to delete the game and reinstall. None of these things work to get my games going. I feel like this is likely not a problem on my end, as the newer games work, but a problem with EA as it's connecting me to a sign in page that I shouldn't be connecting to to access my games.

  • Hey there,

I'm sorry to hear you're unable to access some of your games. Could you please let us know which games you encountered this issue in?

Deleting the licenses folder usually helps with that.

    Delete EA License Files:

    • Make sure the EA app is closed.
    • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
    • Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotes) into the new Window > ENTER
    • Enable View Hidden Files and Folders
    • Delete all files in the "License" folder.

    Please clear your temp files:

    • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time
    • Into the new window, type or copy & paste: "%temp%" (Without the quotes.) > hit "ENTER"
    • Your Windows Explorer should have brought you to the "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Local\Temp" folder. > Delete all files and folders in it.
    • (If some files or folders can't be deleted, reboot and try again.)

    I hope this helps!
