first, I put your post into a separate thread, as the issue is separate from the one you posted in. What do you mean that you can't open a new topic? 

Regarding your issue, could you try emptying the cache in the app through the app recovery? For that, click on the three lines in the top left corner, go to Help, and then App Recovery. Did you and your friends have this issue from the moment you switched to the EA app, or did it start happening at a later point?

Regarding the other two issues, thank you for your feedback! The EA app team is continuously working on improving the app, and might add more features over time.

  • I wanted to write this post in the technical section and I did everything right and the post just does not add, and it says that it appeared and it looks like it would appear only that it is not there. It says yes, post added "one minute ago" but the post doesn't actually show up. As for the second thing, I just tried this app recovery and it didn't help. For me, the problem has been present from the very beginning, i.e. since March 1, when I was somehow forced to abandon ORIGIN. Whether my friends had the problem later or was it, like mine, from the very beginning, I don't know, but I know that they also have the same problem because I talked to them and that. I'll rewrite what I mean, but I think it's easy to understand. The matter is very simple, if I have the game open and I drop the game on the bar, I can't open the application because it simply does not open. If I close the game I can open the app again without any problem.

    Hello @19Romulus84,

    could you repair the game in the EA app? And could you ask your friends to go on the forum as well and press the Me Too button? That way, we can estimate how many people have this kind of problem. This is the first time I have seen this issue, so it's important to figure out if this is a wider spread issue.

    Does it only happen with Battlefield or does it happen with other games as well? You also said that crashes are an issue - is it the game or the app that crash or is it other programs, and if so, what kind of programs do you have running in the background?

    Regarding the issue of posting on the forum, is the language that you have the forum set in English or a different one? There have been issues with this before, so it is important to always have the forum language set to the same language as the language of the forum - so English in the English forum, Polish in the Polish one, etc..

  • Yes, it's the same in FIFA 23, randomly, when I'm in the game, after dropping the game to the bar, the application cannot be opened. No, I will not bother my friends because they are Battlefield V friends from all over Europe speaking different languages ​​and I will not explain to them what to do, where to enter and what to click, and they probably wouldn't understand anyway. I contacted two and they have the same problem. And you can't install this app and see for yourself, I'm telling you it's happening so see for yourself. I don't know what other technical issues you're talking about because I haven't written anything else. I just said that there is no FPS frame counter and you can't from the application level, I select from the application level, send invitations or join the game to a friend, ORIGIN had these functions. I've had the app for 7 days and it's already crashed twice.

    Hello @19Romulus84,

    I use the app quite extensively, partially due to my job and partially to simply play the games in my free time, and have also asked around the team - as of now, this isn't a known issue, so thank you for bringing it to our attention.

    I was asking you about other crashes as you said in your first post, that "this problem occurs randomly, if something crashes, you can't open the application with the game on the bar and other times it can." 


    I was referring to those crashes. So it's the EA app that crashes? Are you getting some kind of error message when it does? Does it crash in a game, or does it crash on its own? If it happens during a game, is it one specific game? Could you check in the task manager if the EA app or a game takes up a lot of the PCs functions? If the EA app crashes, it makes sense that you won't be able to open the game after, as the game is reliant on the EA app being open in order to play it. Therefore, the issue with the minimizing might have something to do with those crashes.

    I would first recommend doing the app recovery in the EA app - you can find that when you click on the three lines in the upper left corner and then go to "Help".

Now as I write this I have Battlefield V minimized in my taskbar and I can open the EA app. Now I exited the BFV game and immediately re-enabled the game and so far it works, the application can be opened when the game is minimized. As I write it happens randomly. The game then works normally, the only thing is that you can't open the EApp when you minimize the game, even the overlay to write with friends that opens with shift+F1 then works, but you can't open the application, I click the application 100 times and it doesn't respond, no it simply responds to an attempt to open it. For 2 days, when I turn off the computer, I don't log out of the application, I just leave it, maybe that's why everything works for me so far? I just logged out and back in now, launched the game and it's working for now. I know that if the application crashes, it will crash the game, it's obvious. This has happened to me twice already, but I'm talking about something else. I don't want to repeat myself, but I think you understand me. Randomly, it happens randomly, when I have Battlefield V open, and I drop the game to the bar and I want to open the application to, for example, buy the game, it can't be opened, the application must work and it works then because it doesn't kick me out of the game, it just can't open it, if i quit the game i can open the app right away. To be honest, I currently only have two games installed, Battlefield V and FIFA 23.

    Can you tell me something about why there is no FPS counter, frame per second counter in this app? Are you going to add it, do you know anything about it? There was such a counter in the ORIGIN application. It's a nice addition and I'm sure a lot of people will find it useful. And a practical matter because it's not a bug, it's just an EA app that just doesn't have this function. Why can't I see what my friend is playing? I mean, I can see what game he is playing, but in ORIGIN I saw what mode he is playing, for example, conquest, breakthrough, frontline ... and I saw because it wrote what map the friend is playing specifically, it is not here. And the second thing, you can't join a friend from the application, you can only join a friend from the game and in ORIGIN you could join the game from the application and send him an invitation in the same way. In my opinion, this is a step backwards from ORIGIN. We are in the 2020s and there is no FPS counter in the application, I can't see what mode my friend is playing, what map he is playing, I can't send him an invite or join him. To me it's strange that old ORIGIN had it, and the new app should probably have more useful features or at least it should keep all the ORIGIN features and this app has less features than the old ORIGIN. Can you tell me why is that?

    if it happens again, try to repair the game and do the App Recovery, and send a message again.

    As to the feedback and requests, I cannot say what will or will not be added in the future. The EA app team is listening to the community and is planning to add improvements to it over time. That is all I can say at the moment, and further improvements and information about the app will be communicated as they are revealed.

I've had the app since March 1 and it's already kicked me out of the game twice saying "connection to game session lost". And it's not the fault of the Internet, because you're about to start writing like that, because I know the computer better than you, but this application is to blame. If once a year it happens to me that I don't have the Internet for 5 minutes, a different message pops up, namely this. "Connection to EA servers has been lost, online features will be unavailable. Please try again. For more information, see ea.com/unable-to-connect." I'm writing this to you so that you don't leave me right away that my Internet doesn't work because my Internet works perfectly. I'm telling you again, I've been playing BFV since March 2019, I have over 4000 hours in it and I know and seen various "behaviors" of this game and during this time using ORIGIN something like this happened to me maybe once and I've had this application for 9 days I've crashed the game twice with the message "Lost connection to game session". 99% of this error is your new "good" EA app.
