Re: How is this possible

I still dont understand whats you think was odd/buggy in this situation. 9 shots with a R301 actually makes 126 dmg if all are bodyshots (9*14=126), so I think he actually landed 6 bodyshots + 3 legshots ((6*14) + (3*11) = 117.  The R301 shots 13.5 rounds per second, so he only needed 9/13.5 = 0.67 seconds to land those 9 shots assuming he landed everything, which he probably didnt. You wrote yourself that he did that in a second? Well I think its totally plausible that a guy lands 9 out of 13.5 rounds with a R301 in one second, especially since you apparently were very close since you managed to land a full 121 dmg PK-shot on him in return.

The OP's point is that 117 + 36 > 150.

I now recall that these kinds of discrepancies can be explained by rounding errors; Apex tracks both damage & health to several decimal places, but the damage numbers shown in-game & on the summary screen round damage to the nearest whole number *per bullet*.

So, for instance, if you're hit by 11 bullet each dealing 13.5 damage, you'll take 148.5 damage. However the damage numbers & summary screen will both show 11x14 = 154 damage.

Yeah I had this crap happen to me once also where I did 206 damage and still no down, I even recorded it and looked back at it and it made no sense.

Hehe are you sure about that? I honestly think the OPs reason for this thread is very unclear =). In his original post, he only seemed upset that he shot someone for 121 dmg out of 150 hp and that the enemy didn't die (?).... not a word about himself getting hit for more than 150 hp according to the death recap. If anything, he should be happy that his legend could take more damage than he had hp =) But in the reply to me, his reason for posting seemed to that the enemy managed to shot him 9 times with a R301 at point blank range in one second, which isnt strange at all if you ask me. He also goes on about that it was all headshots, which is also just confusing since it would only have taken 5 headshots to kill him with 150-36=114 hp (?).

But if you are correct about the OP's point, then have I always assumed that the strange numbers of total damage in the death recap was because it counts the "full" damage of the specific bullet that took you down. So if you have exactly 1 hp and get shot in the body with a single shot from a R301, the recap will still show 14 dmg and not 1. Im 99% sure that I saw this today. I had purple armor and got shot twice in the body with a Kraber, the second shot killing me. The recap showed 145 dmg two times and not 145 the first and 55 the second.
