  • @crinrictI don't have Sims in English, so I hope I'm right - nurse practicioner and the task check off as normal.

    @evokejdou You should just do all the tasks given there. Lower ranks have lower tasks. The bar should go up as you do the tasks given to get promoted. Only those count.

    You should get more options as you level up.

    I might be misunderstanding your issue though so if that's not it, could you add some pics ?

  • @crinrictUnfortunately, I'm not able to access the game right now, but my problem isn't with getting good work performance (based on completing tasks in the left upper corner), but actually managing to complete the requirement to level up - right now it's to correctly diagnose two patients and treat them successfully. The problem is I cannot get completely right diagnose option no matter what I do (x-ray, check xx etc.), the furthest I can get is a choice between two diagnoses (in English it would be called almost accurate diagnose or something similar) and no matter how many times I successfully do other ways to get accurate diagnose I cannot get to that point (and it's been like that for about 7 sim working days).

    @evokejdou You're at level 2 right ?

    I just gave this a test. There's patients with a blue and others with a red heart over their head.

    You need to aim for the red ones as they are already diagnosed and then treat them. That's what you're doing right ?

    The treat 2 patients ticked off for me with no issues doing that.
  • @crinrict  In lower levels, there were always at least some patients with red heart after loading the Hospital lot (and treating them was no problem for me - this worked just fine), but since leveling up to the Nurse practicioner as mentioned, this doesn't work.

    1) I get notification if I want to go with my sim to the hospital when it's time, so I click that I want to go.

    2) After hospital lot opens I see only patients with blue hearts - that don't have a diagnosis.

    3) I randomly choose one of the blue heart patients and give them the basics (check up of ears, eyes, temperature, ...), then I do x-ray (with calibrated machine), test on the running machine - everything successfuly.

    4) I need to get the accurate diagnosis in order to treat the patient correctly, but this option just doesn't show up (even though in previous levels it worked just fine) - that means when I click on the diagnosis option all I see is multiple options (for example: no disease, llama disease - sorry my game is in Czech so I am not sure of English equivalents).

    5) I cannot get ONE diagnosis in options even after running x-ray and running machine test multiple times again.

    6) I try random diagnosis from the options I get because I am exhausted at this point and the working day is almost over.

    7) I either get the diagnosis wrong or I get it right, but even if it's right, it doesn't count into the lower right corner with career pop up (diagnose and treat 2 patients).

    Hope this is logical for you, I just don't know what to do anymore.

  • @crinrictI tried googling the levels of doctor career and I think I'm either level 3 or 4. I know that I already treated patients, but this requirement is DIAGNOSE and treat 2 patients, not treat only.

    @evokejdou These are the levels: https://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/careers/gettowork/doctor/ ..

    NMV. Missed your post above

    Will do some further testing

    EDIT: The personally don't find the doctor career very satisfying when it comes to diagnosing as it's so random. Symptoms are supposed to help you but they don't always do so as you say, you examine them and by doing so, you can narrow it down by ending up with only one or two options to diagnose. I just treated a patient successful and it got ticked so there doesn't seem to be a general issue with this.

    Would you be willing to share your save with me ?

    If so, please zip your saves folder and upload it somewhere like dropbox, googledrive or OneDrive and PM me the link.

  • @crinrict  So I unfortunately don't know how to share the game. However, I just tried to solve the problem and it's still not working. I managed to take some screenshots - this is after all the checkups, x-ray and running machine test. It's in Czech though haha.

    @evokejdou and if you choose one of the two from the second pic and you happen to be correct, it doesn't fulfill ?

    From what I remember, you need to choose a diagnosis and then provide the treatment (pill, shot, surgery) for that diagnosis to complete the performance goal. It's pretty rare to get just one possible diagnosis, so you will usually have to make a choice and hope you got it right.

    I rely on one of the fansites (Carl's Sims 4 Guide) for extra help in making a good diagnosis when the game makes me choose. I still get it wrong sometimes, even with the extra information.

    Hope that helps some. Good luck.

  • @crinrict  Yes, somehow I almost always get the wrong diagnosis (which could be just bad luck), but I once or twice got it right and I didn't get the progress in task for a promotion (the task of treating and diagnosing two patients).

  • @Sketch793  That's weird, I swear I could remember always getting only one possible diagnosis after all tests in the past, but maybe I remember it wrong. Though I think I was able to get only one diagnosis on lower levels of the doctor career easily. I will definitely try looking up the fansite. Thanks.

    @evokejdou I think it's random. I saved the game when I had two diagnosis so I could go back and choose the other if it was wrong but when I reloaded I had just one diagnosis for something completely different.

    It did complete after the treatement.
