I would die to have your results, no it's not a bug; Female Sims are more common by far. When doing a challenge like that - it's pretty much intended that you kick the kids out after they are born and continue to woohoo with the male; but then there's the facet of all of these "Challenges" are made entirely of gamers having fun with logic...logic doesn't hold up in The Sims, because once you start down that path your going to gain the "Evil" Trait one way or another...(serious about that too; I've used "Create a story" 3 times for Scientists - all three have ended up "Evil")
