I get it every now and then - usually when trying to load into a household. It doesn’t seem to cause issues and I can usually load into the household after the error pops up.
My issue is i’m trying to renovate Chestnut Ridge and am constantly getting stuck on the endless loading screen, now i’m having to go and recover an old save because I can’t load into the household I left on. Just loads and loads with no end. It’s the grove family - the parents are dead in my save and I moved the kids into the 64x64. It’s a big lot, but I was able to place it and play in it no problem last night, it’s only now that I can’t load into their household.
My willow creek also got deleted. All the houses and community lots. I was able to save them to my gallery so I can replace them if they disappear again, but may be more signs that my save is beyond repair. I really don’t want to give up on it.

Sounds like game corruption going on namely these issues: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/Endless-Loading-Crashing-when-trying-to-load-a-certain-lot/td-p/13326793 and this: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-Houses-Lots-disappear/td-p/4620279/jump-to/first-unread-message
There's a few other similar bug reports. - spritelst9 months agoNew Scout
I’ve already done all of the troubleshooting recommendations on those threads, I posted to this one because the others are so long it’s clearly a lot cause (and because Chestnut Ridge is the main issue, I can’t load into anyone’s household including EA families and EA builds) I’m wondering if there’s anything I can do that isn’t just starting a fresh save. I’ve done mod-less tests, cleared my cashe, repaired my game, completely uninstalled the sims and redownloaded it, i’ve done everything that’s been recommended to me and nothing works. I need to know if deleting my save is my only option, because these issues aren’t showing up in new saves.
- crinrict9 months agoHero+@spritelst There isn't really a solution for the disappearing lots at this point. It's unclear what's causing and it's best if you add to the bug thread for that issue.
Are you getting any lastExceptions when trying to load ?
As for Chestnut ridge, it could be the same issue if it's all lots. There are several symptoms, one being endless loading. - spritelst9 months agoNew Scout
The disappearing lots are only happening in Willow Creek for some reason, the other two base game worlds are fine. Like I said I have those houses saved to my gallery so it’s no big deal.
I can load into two of my households in Chestnut Ridge, I made them, and I built their houses. Their families load no problem, living in the Galloping Gulch and New Apaloosa neighborhoods. It’s only houses in the Riders Glen neighborhood that refuse to load for some reason (which is weird because those are ea families on ea built lots)
And no, since I can never actually load into the household I don’t get a popup from better exceptions. I went through and deleted a bunch of old mods and cc just as general housekeeping of my folders and nothing seems to be fixing the problem. As of now i’m spending most of my time in CAS until I can figure this out.
- crinrict9 months agoHero+@spritelst Willow Creek is usually the neighborhood the issue starts with and then spreads to other worlds.
LastException files are created independent of BE. You find them in your user folder. Best to remove all mods/cc and test on a backup of your save and see if the game creates files.
