Mods Not Working HELP

Hello,
I downloaded a bunch of mods yesterday and cannot get them to show in my game. I even unistalled and reinstalled to make sure all the folders were correct. They are all in the mod folder. When I log in i get the pop up that shows the list of mods. Mods are enabled, but the content isn't there. I mostly did new traits, but I only have the standard traits....

@Dominosfanatic, and @Rachelharris31 , here is a link that might help you: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/11/mods-custom-content-doesnt-show-up/

If this doesn't help you, then it would be best if you go back to where you got your Mods and Custom Content (CC) and asked the creators there how to have them show up in your game, and also to troubleshoot if any other problems occur.😇  EA didn't make the Mods/CC, so they don't support them, they only allow them to be used. 😉
And since you downloaded a lot of them it might be a bit tricky to get them all to show up. 🤨

Also, please know that the more Mods and CC items you have in your game, the more chances of those items causing problems in your game. 😞 This happens when they become outdated, which is most likely to show up when EA updates the game with a patch.  If this happens, you will need to find and remove the outdated Mod or CC item and replace it with a version that is updated to work with EA's updated game.  Good CC and Mod makers try to update their items quickly, but on some you might have to wait for a bit.
So, basically, you will have to do regular maintenance and upkeep on all your Mods and CC! If you have a lot, it can become tedious, which is why Mods/CC aren't for everybody.

Once you get your CC/Mods installed and you later have problems with them, you will need to find which ones are causing the problem.  You can do this by doing all of the following:

    1) Move the Mods Folder to your desktop

    2) Delete the  localthumbcache.package file in the game folder.

    3) Fix you game in Origin by logging in and go to Library, then right-click on The Sims 4 and choose the "Repair Game" option from the list.  Wait until Origin finishes repairing all your packs and not just the base game.

    4) Now, when you turn on your game again, it will create a new mods folder that will be empty.  Check to see if your game is now working without mods/CC.

    5) Now you can try adding back items from your Mods folder one at a time checking your game each time to see which item is causing your game to not work properly.  If you have a lot of items, you can try the 50/50 Method.

The CC creators will usually update the CC items and Mods after these updates, so when you find out which one is the culprit, you can get the updated version from whoever made that item of CC in the first place.  You should try these steps any time you have problems in your game to rule out CC/Mods problems.  It is the responsibility of the Mods/CC creators to update their items anytime EA releases a patch/update, and it is the responsibility of the people who use Mods/CC to make sure they are using the most recent version.  Once you find which ones are out of date you can get the version that is updated to work with the most recent Sims 4 update and replace the old version of the Mod/CC item with the new one.. 🙂

I understand that Mods and CC items are exciting, but they aren't without some risks as well as some work! 😉  I'm too lazy to do all the upkeep, so I haven't used them since TS3! 😳😃

Hopefully the link will help you get your Mods/CC installed! 🤞 (and bookmark the maintance procedure for finding outdated Mods/CC items for future use. )

Please update us on whether this works for you or not. 😇
