Re: Werewolf form modding CC

There is a werewolf mod by SpinningPlumbobs. I think it has what you are looking for.

I've been following that mod for about 2 or 3 months and was hoping that Spinningplumbobs would merge their werewolves entirely with EA's, but instead they have decided to make them two different species (SP's lycans and EA's werewolves). I don't know if this is because it was the only option or if SP just wanted to keep their werewolves separate from EA's. It's an amazing mod. I'm just not sure if it gives the effect I'm after. When I get the pack (I'm waiting for the GP to be eligible to go on sale) I probably will give the mod a try but what I'm after is a default replacement of the beast form not an alternative type of werewolf alongside EA's.

I'm not a modder so I have no idea if what I'm looking for is something that can be coded. I realize that the beast form has customizable features that vampire dark forms and/or mermaid forms don't have such as the Cats and Dogs style fur editing feature which might make it hard.  I'll keep an eye out for other mods and also check back to this incase anyone shares a mod I've missed.

@SianAF148 There's another mod on Mod the Sims that's basically just a skin overlay you could apply to regular sims or werewolf sims in their human form. If that is something you might be interested in. I can't post a link here but you can find it on Mod the Sims by searching for "Werewolf Skins + other addons" by Tarruvi

This will definitely help! I think I saw it in the past but I thought it was an actual skin not an overlay.

@SianAF148 It's been a while since I've used it so I popped it back in to see how it would work with a Werewolf in human form. She's actually kinda cute! It shows up as a custom skin tone, rather than as a skin detail, but it's non-default and it shouldn't conflict with a default skin replacement (I am using one in my game). It did not interfere with tattoos or other skin details either (I am using both on this sim). The fur colors are separated into separate package files, so you only have to install the colors you want. There are some optional things like snouts and eyes that haven't tried. It did not affect my Sim's beast form at all (I made sure to un-link her forms in CAS before I applied the CC skin tone).

I might see if I can get some wolf contact accessories and also turn this skin into an accessory overlay for my own use (I usually alter some cc like this but I never share it bc it's not exactly my cc, I just change the category)
