@meganbarto845 , is your Alien toddler Sim perhaps also part Vampire(or even a Mermaid)? 🤔 This is an issue with hybrids that have more than one form, because the game can't decide if the second form should be an Alien disguise, a Vampire dark form, or a Mermaid aquatic form. 🤨 This is why it isn't really possible for the game to have true hybrids since they are almost always very glitchy. 😢
If this is not the case and your Alien toddler isn't a hybrid, do you perhaps play with any Mods or Custom Content (CC)?🤔
@PugLove888 Yes they could possibly be a vampire as the father (vampire) was abducted and impregnated by aliens. I will only find out when the alien become a teenager Thanks for your help 🙂 Also how do you get mermaids? What pack is it a part of?
@meganbarto845 , yes, that is the best way to end up with a hybrid. 😃 I once had a male Vampire who was pregnant with an Alien baby and who I accidentally selected to drink from one of the Sims that comes with the Strangerville Game Pack (I forgot this Sim was "infected" and should have had him drink from another Sim who wasn't infected). So I ended up with an infected, Alien-pregnant Vampire! 😱😃
Usually in CAS you can tell if your child or toddler Sim is a supernatural Sim , but it can be difficult with hybrids since it will usually only say one of the supernatural states. However, certain glitches can be tell-tale signs that you actually have a hybrid.😉
Mermaids come with the Island LIving EP! 🧜♂️🧜♀️ Their special attributes are not as fleshed out as those of Vampires or Spellcasters (which each got their own Game Pack devoted to them) and are therefore more like the Aliens that came with the Get to Work EP. But the CAS options for Merfolk are wonderful! 💗
@PugLove888 the alien Sim wouldn't tell me if it was a vampire in CAS. I had the same problem when my vampire male was married to a spellcaster and had a daughter. It didn't tell me that she was a vampire or a spellcaster until she became a teenager and a pop up told me she was both (which I thought was a glitch because I didn't realise it was possible to create hybrids). My only indication that she could have been a vampire was her occasional hissing in CAS. My Sim family is very complicated now. Before my vampire was a vampire he had 3 spellcaster sons with a spellcaster (my vampire was also a spellcaster at the time but then I found a way to turn him human). Then he became a vampire and had a hybrid vamp/spellcaster daughter. I also believe his other child daughter with his new spellcaster girlfriend is a vamp/spellcaster. And he also has a possible hybrid alien/vampire child from his abduction. I've considered maybe getting Strangerville and Island Living but are waiting for another sale. What does the infection do to Sims?
@meganbarto845 , so sorry I took so long to reply, but I had some real life stuff that wouldn't let me have time to help out here.
Yes, it can be hard to tell if young children are vampires or not until they are teens, but with some Alien/Vampire hybrids they have had a cloud of dark smoke around them when you had them change their outfits in CAS! And they can be very glitchy, which is why they tried to make them not possible!
Here are some pictures of Alien/Vampire hybrids (brother and sister) before the patch that was supposed to make them not possible! You can see the dark cloud when them spin to change clothing indicating that they are Vampires, and yet they have Alien skin. You can see this in both toddlers and children, but you can only see the hissing animation in the children. It was impossible to change their clothing in CAS as they would revert to the original outfits. I think the older children were the same Sims as the toddlers, but I can't remember -- and if they are the same, their skin changed alien colors on its own, I assume part of the glitch! And their hair changed colors as well, from reddish to black! The weird stretching animation was part of them glitching!
However, hybrids are not supposed to be possible, especially after one of the patches a little over a year ago. So most of my testing was before that patch. I don't think I did any testing afterwards as I got sidetracked with other things in the game! 😃
The Strangerville infection/possession makes your Sims run around with a crazed look on thier faces , often looking up at the sky. They talk in a few mysterious phrases and nothing else. They can talk to plants and stare into space. They do this for about 3 or 4 hours each night . And while they do this their needs are completely refilled !!! 🙌Then they snap out of it and return to normal with their needs replenished (though after that they will diminish like normal until the following night!) 😃
