Re: What is your favorite expansion pack/mod

Are you looking for official EA packs, or mods?

Packs: I feel like Seasons and Cats and Dogs are essential expansion packs. I also love Parenthood and Tiny Living. Other recs would depend on your personal playstyle. Are you obsessed with making money? Do you love or hate occult weirdness? I'm an occult player, myself.

Mods: again, this depends on your playstyle, but some of my favorites are MC Command Center, UI Cheats, Kawaii Stacie's Education Bundle, and half of LittleMsSam's and Bienchen's offerings.  😉  I also love Wonderful Whims by Turbodriver and the Pregnancy and Relationship Overhaul by Lumpinou.

Er. It's probably becoming obvious that I play a lot of families. 😉  Occult families.

@xochiquetzl_xkvn I'm just looking for cute family mods, cute expansion packs, romance, etc. I love occult, but not like vampires or anything like that, I like elves, mermaids, and like where I can change into an animal or be a hybrid, hope this makes sense!

Well, an expansion pack/game pack is an official EA product (DLC) for the Sims. They have official packs (for pay) that allow you to be a spellcaster (Realm of Magic) or a mermaid (Island Living). Those are two of my favorite packs. <3

A mod is a fan-created addition to the Sims that should be free (although some creators do "early access"). Kawaii Stacie's Education Bundle is great, in that it includes things like preschool for toddlers and allows your kids and teens to learn skills at school. Wonderful Whims gives Sims an attraction system, so you get cute popups when your Sim is really into another Sim. ("What a Sim! [Name] just forgot what they were thinking about for a moment and found themselves staring at [other Sim]...") I can't directly link you to them because directly linking to mods is against forum rules (because they're unofficial), but google is your friend.
