Hey does anyone know if you can reverse this problem of mine: I moved a sim out of a full furniture apartment and I forgot to make it so that the furniture stayed in that lot and now the sim is in their new house with all the furniture (from the apartment) in their inventory, is there any way of returning all the furniture to where it first was in the apartment?

@MiaLazova The easiest solution may be reverting to a previous save, from before the move, and choosing not to take the furniture with your sim. You can revert to an earlier save either manually or from the Load Game interface at the Main Menu.

If you don't want to lose the progress you've made since the move, you can still use an older save to grab the apartment in its previous state. You'll need to delete at least one section of wall in each room, so the game sees the apartment as a single room, but then you can save it to your library as a room and place it in your current save. And of course rebuild the walls after the fact.
@MiaLazova Do you not have any saves from before your sim moved?
I also tried doing this but it only gives me the choice to move back in the unfurnished lot.
@MiaLazova There should be up to five backup versions for each save, labeled from .ver0 (the most recent backup) to .ver4 (the oldest). Have you tried all of them? You can use the manual method in Crinrict's guide to keep track of them more easily.
Otherwise, if this apartment is one that comes already decorated in a new save, you could start a new save and then save the apartment to your library, as described. From there you could place it in your current save.
Been there, done that myself. So if you can't go back to an earlier save, you can do this, assuming that you didn't customize the apartment. Or even if you did.
Start a new save by starting a new game at the Main Menu, then go to the apartment that lost the furniture in build mode. Save each room to your library. Then exit that save back to the Main Menu.
Start the save where you lost the furniture, then go to the apartment in build mode and replace the rooms with those you just saved in your library. When you're done, you will have a furnished apartment again.
