Hmm this is odd. My username appears correct on my own Sims game (RySBI), but whenever I post to the gallery, it shows a completely different username that I didn’t choose (Braily64), and that username isn’t attributed to my EA account or my PSN account.

It’s like I have 2 usernames on the same account.

I did speak to EA customer service and they were not able to help, as the information did not match. Now I don’t know what account my Sims game is linked to, or how it linked to it, as it’s not my PSN email address.

    I am so confused 😞

@RySBI Hi!  I'm sorry you're having trouble!  I did a bit of digging and it certainly seems that EA is a bit sketchy when it comes to unlinking accounts.  I play on PC so I'm not familiar how the accounts work on console but you may find this article helpful.

Unlink your personas from your EA Account

Just pay close attention to a couple warning signs EA posted with regard to unlinking accounts.  They really don't want to make it easy to unlink. :-(

Edit: @RySBI Sorry, I'm hoping that tagging you again will alert this for you.  I just found another thread suggesting to call and request a persona transfer with a phone number.
Solved: Re: How to merge two origin accounts. - Answer HQ (ea.com)

That post is really old but it got a lot of XP so I'm hoping it works for you.

Oh wow, 6 months is a long time!

I’m sure there is a valid reason behind it, such as people avoiding game bans, or some kind of way of cheating, but it’s annoying I’m stuck with someone else’s name because of it.

I just wish they’d let us choose which account it links to rather than some automated thing deciding for us 💔

    Very disappointing move from EA.
