Child’s grade issue

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PlayStation 5
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? Sp37.29
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All packs, expansions and stuff packs
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Not sure because it seems to only be one child sim
What happens when the bug occurs? My sims child does homework, extra credit, goes to school with all needs maxed, and typically they are A students. All of sudden I got a notification saying they aren’t doing well and the bar was at average despite her doing everything the same way the other child is (other child is doing great. So I tried getting my child’s sim to do a project, got a notification saying grades are up and she’s an A student and yet the bar is still showing average. I don’t know why it’s not working Or why her marks shot down to begin with when she never stopped doing what she was doing all along to have top marks
What do you expect to see? My child sim does everything she’s suppose to and should get top marks
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

@_awkwardlezbean As long as it’s not going down I think you’re fine. If it drops too far into the red she’ll get dropped back down to B.

As for the other student having an A and a maxed bar… I really don’t know what the intended behavior is once it maxes while you’re on the A student level. Maybe it’s supposed to stay there rather than cycling through another level at A and mine just bugs some time. But it is absolutely supposed to reset to the middle of the progress bar whenever the grade changes, so if the first kid has been an A student longer than the second it would make sense her progress bar is higher.

That’s what’s confusing, I got a notification saying she was an A student but the bar is at average and even when she did the New Year’s resolution, the options to be a better student come up. If she was top student, it wouldn’t give you the option to better your grades: also I have an update on this. I just had her do her homework + extra credit and it shows her homework is only 25% complete despite finishing it and even when I click on the homework, there’s no option to do it anymore because she finished it. It must be a bug or something because she finished it 100% and it’s not registering as finished. The other child in the house says complete when she finished it. So I don’t know why it’s this specific child

I just checked again and now it says complete. There must’ve been a delay. But it still must be what’s causing her grade issues. It still won’t budge from the centre saying average. It’s gotta be a bug

I’m sorry, I just saw you asked what grade she is in the panel. I’ll just take a photo and add it here to show you what’s coming up.

So it does say at the top she’s an A student but it’s not recognizing that. It says average and it won’t improve. It’s affecting her cause she still got that option to choose better her grades as a resolution. Maybe I’ll wait and see if the NY resolution is successful. If it’s not; I’ll know for sure

@_awkwardlezbean The bar is for progress on the current “level” and always resets to the middle. So it will be in the middle to start as a C student; when it reaches the top and gets a check mark you become a B student and the bar goes back to the middle. Continue to perform well and it will reach the top, and the child becomes an A student with the bar reset back to the middle. Then as an A student I think this just keeps cycling, even though you can’t get any higher grade. The bar goes up to the top, checks off, you get some sort of notification about doing well, and it resets to the middle to start tracking progress on A student take 2.

Not sure how the resolutions work, however, as I don’t have seasons. It may fail since if you started at an A you can’t get any better?

I didn’t know it reset this way. Like the other child is an A student and the bar is all the way to the right all the time. This one just stays at average and is unmoving. It says A student but seems to not acknowledge that. It’s strange, it never use to be that way but maybe it is and I’m clueless haha wouldn’t surprise me if I missed that. It’s just weird it’s only one sim

Okay I’ll believe you, I’m still learning some things so that’s more than likely the case haha thank you for your help! I’m glad it’s not a bug
