  • Hi I have same problem 

    I just buy NHL23 and when Im trying any online mode it show me that I must reset my EA password by Use QR code I do it and it show me "EA account required, you will not be able to use the online features unless I create EA account 

    But I have account and cant play

    Try going to profile.ea.com and reset your password. Let me know if that helps or not.

  • I have same problem, its 7 days now, tried reseting ea account password but it didnt helped, i have tried everything i found on these forums with no luck…when i start the game with second profile it works just fine, problem seems to be tied somehow to my main gamertag Jaymz l 21 l, this needs to be fixed finally, im not the only one with this problem and im not gonna play with another account from ground up again bcs your game is broken…sorry, but thats how it is…

    Hello, everyone. We've been seeing this happening with Xbox accounts. If you're using a custom gamerpic, change it to a default one. That has been resolving this for others. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!

  • Ok so finally after one week, changing gamer pic to default worked, i have changed back to custom pic and it still works for now…thanks, anyway, this has been the weirdest bugg in nhl so far, i dont want to know what comes next…

  • I've reset my password, changed pic and it still keeps going to password reset.  All my other games work fine.

  • Gamerpic change didn't work for me. There must be a way to manually link your ea account to a Microsoft account so you don't get stuck in the QR code "reset your password" Loop upon starting up NHL 23? I've tried going through EA Support to have them link it for me but haven't got them to do it yet despite multiple replies.

    If you're getting a message saying your password needs to be reset, try going to profile.ea.com and resetting the password. Make sure you're logged in with the account you play on. To find that, load into NHL 23 and go to Settings > Online Settings > EA Account info. That is the email you should be logging in with when resetting the password.

  • That’s the problem. The account is should be connected to (matching email) says it’s not linked when signing into EA. When logging into NHL on Xbox all it does it say to reset the password. Trying to click on account info also takes you to reset your password.

    customer service says the account is connected to an inactive ea account. Which doesn’t make sense as I have access to the ea account with the matching email. The account I’m supposedly tied to doesn’t exist.

    If your gamertag is already connected to another account, you'll need to contact an advisor and verify ownership to get it moved to another account.

  • Has the Reset Password issue been resolved? I haven't been able to play online since purchasing the game. They should have an option to sign in to your EA account.

  • I'm still in the "reset password" loop.

    When I load up NHL 23 on my PS5 is says I must reset my password using the QR code. But I've reset it 3 times and still does not work. When I attempt to login to EA on the website using my PSN it gives me the following error: "There's been an error: connect_error_social_login_failure"

    The EA Support Advisor just refer me to this page, but does not help because I get the error above. https://help.ea.com/ca/help/account/link-your-console-accounts

    It's possible you're resetting the password for the wrong account. Please contact an advisor so they can track down the right account. Thank you.

  • I'm having issues connecting to the online services on NHL 23. I've done everything I can do. It keeps showing the incorrect email and phone number. I've updated everything to the new number and email. It's still showing the wrong email. What else can I do?
