- @EA_Aljo Not every time, but I would estimate 10-20%. I am on a reliable wireless connection

Wireless is never reliable, unfortunately. Is it possible to switch to a wired connection or is your router too far away?
- @EA_Aljo I have switched to wired, same issue. I have other devices on this 5GHz network that work flawlessly, so it is definitively not the connection. I've also experienced this issue on as far back as NHL 17.

That's good you switched to a wire. I definitely recommend you stay on it as it's far more stable than wireless. Let's see if alternate DNS servers will help. From the Xbox One home screen, go to Settings > Network > Advanced settings > DNS settings > Manual. (If Settings doesn't appear on the home screen, select My Games & Apps, then Settings). From there, enter the Primary DNS as "208.67.222.222" and the Secondary DNS as "208.67.220.220". If that doesn't help, try using the google DNS servers which are: primary alt number 8.8.8.8 - secondary alt number 8.8.4.4 Let me know what happens. Thanks!
- @EA_Aljo This didn't make a difference either. Again, this is a problem I've experienced in the last 4 years of your NHL game, across platform, on different internet connections. The common underlying factor is the game itself. Please see these threads for additional instances of this - https://www.reddit.com/r/NHLHUT/comments/afc3wy/waiting_for_all_users_to_resume_glitch/, https://answers.ea.com/t5/Other-NHL-Games/Waiting-For-User/td-p/3501149

We really need to rule out any issues on your end as we're not aware of something with our servers that is causing this. The majority of people are able to play without issue.
Do you have a PC by chance? If so let’s find out how your connection is reaching our servers. Can you run a UO Trace and screenshot me the results? Instructions here: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/connection-troubleshooting-basic/.
- @EA_Aljo I don't have a PC. This happened again this morning. I'm returning this game because as much as I enjoy the game and think it's a great product, this is too rampant an issue. Half of my losses in online versus are due to freezing at the first intermission. It's unconscionable to me that this is still happening in your game after 4 years. Appreciate your efforts but until this issue gets fixed (and you can see in those links I posted how prevalent it is), I'm no longer a customer.

Both of those threads are quite old and they have a small number of people experiencing this. We're not aware of an issue with the game that is causing this to happen. However, peer to peer connections are more susceptible to this happening so it's something you can experience in Online Versus and online Draft Champions games. It's unfortunate you don't have a PC because that will show us the quality of your connection.
If you decide to play again, take a look at the network settings screen on your Xbox and let me know what it says for the IPv. This should be on IPv4 and not 6.
- @EA_Aljo It is on IPv4

Cool. IPv4 is good. Can you check your router to see if there's a firmware update available? Also, your router may support QoS (Quality of Service). Check for a setting for that and enable it.
