Seriously you have not improved anything, no communications, no patches, the matchmaking is as bad or even worse since season 17..... What are you doing? You have given up on the game haven't you? This honestly only signals to your customer your lack of commitment, service and loyalty.... As of now this seems to be the end..... I had 1 good game that was in my skill bracket the rest was absolute filled to the brim with obvious cheaters and/or Masters+..... you disgusts me..... @drevinum9 Cross progression was prioritized for around a month as far I'm aware, as they completed the rollout near the end of November.There are still some issues that are being worked on, but I doubt these are being prioritised.A lot of the players wanted cross progression as well, so if Respawn decides to release it sometime then they'll have to make sure it releases properly.This isn't a simple migration/merge, keep in mind that they're dealing with data from millions of players, of which the intention is to not even lose a shred of data that wasn't intended to be lost.It's easy to chalk it up as just a simple migration/merge, but a lot more than that is happening BTS.They've been busy with Cross Progression for a month, then we had an event the next month (which was pretty much during the holidays)I don't think their priority is skewed, I agree that there are plenty of other game breaking bugs that exist within the game, but that doesn't mean these things shouldn't be worked out.And it's not like they're not working on other bugs either, on their Twitter account it shows that they've been fixing some.And there definitely have been a lot of other issues they've been working on.

@drevinum9It seems like your definition of "better" Ranked matchmaking is the one that is more enjoyable (which I agree). But you also need to understand why there are such bad changes implemented recently and what problems they are trying to fix. They are not changing the matchmaking system for nothing.Indeed, you never see masters or highly skilled players in low ranks before S17 because they are using RP-based matchmaking. It is much more enjoyable of course but there are a couple of problems that the team wants to tackle as explained here:1. There are often (but very few in each match) smurfs that will stomp low-rank lobbies resulting in matches ending early and therefore no "end games".2. Boosting. As mentioned in the blog's FAQ,"In previous seasons, a skilful player would likely dominate and massacre through numerous games until they needed to start trying."The scoring system combined with RP-based matchmaking from S17 backwards can't converge Smurf RP to their actual RP instantly, and also can't prevent low-skilled players who play with Smurf from climbing to the rank they are not supposed to. This results in low-skilled players being able to reach high rank and therefore there is no essence for playing rank because it is just a random matchmaking eventually.Since it is a random matchmaking, if you are skilful enough, you will feel the matchmaking is good, otherwise, you will suffer every match. @drevinum9 lol dude, have you looked at the world lately? fixing apex is like the last thing even coming from apex that will ever happen. this game will 100% never ever be fixed, ever. I will bet you every cent I own that this is truth.

Keep in mind that during the holiday season not much will really be done as a large portion of the Respawn staff will be out to celebrate with their friends and family.
This most likely includes the few weeks before they went on holiday, as they would not be able to fix issues from new patches as they'd be operating at a lower capacity.
The mid-season update is also coming closer and closer, so hopefully they'll have something great lined up for that.

Assuming we're only talking about this season:
They were still rolling out cross progression in November, I suppose they had their hands mostly full with that during that period.
But we had 2 AMA's and they pushed a lot of fixes and changes to existing features.
Whilst a lot of players didn't like it, we had an event, of which a decent chunk liked the perks that were present in the event itself.
For the holidays, I'd at least keep the last 3 weeks of December reserved.
I don't think this period has been bad content-wise, though the mid-season update isn't exactly placed in the middle of the season, hence why it feels like nothing much is happening.
They're still working out some kinks with cross progression as far I'm aware, so this season seems to be keeping them quite busy.
Of course that's no excuse for less content, though my guess is that this season was more planned to properly roll out cross progression and to do some fixes to the game.
With the holidays slicing through the season, I feel like they wouldn't really be able to do much more than this.
In general, a month in itself with all these other factors combined means that there is a smaller chance of a lot of changes happening
Let's just see what the mid-season update will hold for us.

@XHelperZ the priority here seems skewed, how can they prioritize "cross progression" as the top priority for 3 whole months.... They have more severe issues they don't address or even provide information about. What quality to the game does cross progression provide that needs to be prioritized over the fact of severe in game bugs? If they can't even handle a migration or merge of information then I don't have high hopes EA will be making it. Microsofts will surely soon take all the market shares because competing against EA at this point looks rather simple.

@XHelperZ I can understand the holidays and everyone deserves time off from any job to spend with their families... that I get.

Lack of content to me has never been the issue.

The areas I get frustrated with and especially when the cosmetic store is going strong, but yet, servers are still a huge issue, hacking, cheating, smurf accounts... and of course the always ongoing issue of non-existent enemy audio.

It feels aggravating, and infuriating to know these issues have existed for too too long, with usually no comms from respawn while the cosmetics keep coming like clock work. I get it is different departments yadda yadda, but it doesn't change the fact that it feels like the biggest, loudest, nastiest slap in the face.

@Skimpp I didnt ask for "better" matchmaking the existing ones before season 17 was good. Even I thought it to be the best. As it was only taking into account the actual rank you currently had! You never saw masters in bronze or rookies before.... You always faced opponents in an increasing difficulty until you reach your skill cap, for me accordingly to the game was high diamonds since all I play against since the new matchmaking are high diamonds masters predators. I consistently managed to get plat but time was my limit, I couldnt play more to climb to my potential.

Now instead I get battered in rookie by my highest potential and it does not change, I get really battered somewhat around 3 out of 4 games and it been like that for a whole year. Am I doomed to forever meet high diamond+ just for them not to have too long of a queue? My queue time went from seoconds to minutes these season.....

I have seen multiple suggestions all better than current. BUT the absolute best and I have reiterated multiple times until EA/Respawn finally made an official post "WE ARE NEVER GOING BACK" and at that point I gave up, because they upfront told me your game is gone.

All I have seen and accordingly to others on the forum they used Reddit.... when they have an official forum and a way of communicating information in game.... nonono they use reddit and get "death threats" and then suddenly the whole community not even those owning reddit shall suffer in the shadow of uncertainty and no one shall have any information.
