Since I mostly play with Recon and Controller Legends I never really paid close attention to the Passive Perks for other classes.

I'm starting to realize that some of these Passive Perks have caused some imbalance in Apex resorting in extreme favoritism towards the Assault and Skirmisher classes.

Apex, by nature, is a skirmishing game. Additionally, there are 7 Skirmisher Legends, the most for any class. Furthermore, the Skirmisher class has the Charged Knock perk, as mentioned above. Personally, I don't understand why the Skirmisher class has this perk when they already have "skirmishing abilities" that give them an advantage in immediate fights. Legends that have less "skirmishing abilities" would be better served with this type of perk. Also, the Charged Knock perk creates a fabricated skill gap in the game. If Skirmisher mains are given this type of advantage in combat, how does this result in them being highly skilled players. IMO, this perk should be removed from the game entirely.

IMO, the Assault Passive Perks align with that class. Although, these perks also overshadow the perks of the Recon, Support, and Contoller classes. Overall, the evidence shows that it is best to play Skirmisher first and Assault second in order to really enjoy the benefits of combat engagement in this game.

The Passive Perks for the Recon, Support, and Controller classes are mostly team perks that have no direct influence on combat engagement, resource, and survivability during an immediate fight compared to the the Assault and Skirmisher classes. Furthermore, the Zone Overcharge perk for the Controller class only works when in zone. Most matches players don't go to zone until they're forced by the ring, making this perk useless for immediate fights out of zone.

Overall, all Class Passive Perks should be team perks, not individual perks that can help some Legends in immediate fights. Especially when those Legends already have Assault and Skirmisher abilities that give them an edge in immediate fights.

In conclusion, the Skirmisher class, specifically, is way too strong. As mentioned above, there are 7 Skirmishers that have skirmishing abilities and gain health and shields regen on a knock. I'm against any Class Passive Perk ability that gives a Legend/Player extra survivability incentives in immediate fights

For now on, I'm playing with Skirmisher Legends only. I want that health and shield regen in immediate fights

  • I'm going back to Crypto. He's the best Legend in the game for competitive play.

    Skirmishers aren't for me.

    Knowledge is key.

  • Crypto isn't working either.

    Wattson it is. 😀

Gotta slow these Assault and Skirmisher players down.

    Somebody gotta do it. 😁
