Cross play will not work even with all settings set to allow on xbox

I have gone through all of Xbox privacy settings to ensure cross play is enable. No luck. 

I normally always play cross play and have no issues at all. 

I currently am locked in XBOX only lobby’s….which is a joke because there is no xbox only lobby. You cannot start a game if you have cross play disabled. There’s no player pool. 

SO, I talked to xbox to try and fix it so im not locked into xbox only. Reset my counsel and re-set up my account….still locked into xbox only. They suggested contacting EA because its on their end.

Contacted EA. Guy literally did nothing but tell me to turn on my settings for cross play….they are already set to allow cross play. He has no solution to help other than posting here. So now I have uninstalled and will reinstall….waiting several hours for 100 gb download. But if anyone else has had this issue let me know because i could not find an answer anywhere on the internet and the help guys at EA and Xbox are basically the long route to google. 

  • thank you for the response. After uninstalling and reinstalling the problem resolved itself. If it happens again Ill try your suggestion…would be faster than the download, haha.

    Hi there, @DeadPossumGang 

    After making changes to your cross-play settings, you should power cycle with the following steps: unplug your modem, router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem and router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!

  • thank you for the response. After uninstalling and reinstalling the problem resolved itself. If it happens again Ill try your suggestion…would be faster than the download, haha.
