Drone hurts crypto???
Why does Crypto drone hurt him yet...
Wattson fence doesnt hurt her!
Caustic gas doesnt hurt him!
Horizon ultimate doesnt grab her!
Revenant tactical doesn't hurt him!
Bangalore smoke doesnt damage!
Seems daft.

- @Loganhawks Your supposed to use cryptos drone to EMP them and then push, its not really meant to be used on a team that has already pushed you or you are already attacking but personally if my shields are broken I usually just use it on myself then recharge shields so everyone elses is broken too

This was implemented due to a blitzkrieg strategy employed in high tier play, in which a Revenant death totems, Crypto emps, and Wraith portals. It was very un-counterable.
To discourage such play, and remove the sharp advantage, they implemented the electromagnetic field slowing teammates and damaging Crypto.
It will presumably continue in the game for some time to contain this strategy.
@LoganhawksCrypto, Revenant and Wraith is too op back then, so instead of rescale or nerf revenant ultimate (Which is the main problemm). They decided to nerf Crypto instead.
Currently a few best way to use EMP is to...
1) EMP & push the enemy
2) Shield at 50% or less, EMP yourself & use shield battery.
3) EMP while trying to pickup teammate banner.
- @CrazyEyedOldMan Honestly the wraith portal and rev ult is still a pretty strong combo. The crypto ult in this combo kind of feels like an extra thing.
