EA - Seriously Speaking - Quality vs Quantity Please!

Hello EA,

I really hope you're going to read this, there are many of us with high levels of education, skills and experience that could work, or run a company like this, I hope you do realize you're not the only one with the various business skills you possess, after all, everyone playing is not a kid.

I personally understand all the various reasons any business does what it does in regards to marketing to consumers.

But in the end, most will agree to take cut backs to instead have good Quality over Quantity, especially when the Quantity Level has to many problems.

I also personally believe, that many people would be more happy not having any additional map/season updates, and people would of been far happier with a better running Network, and simply putting in a Single/Duo mode.

The Network is a huge problem, that is a given!

I'm not so sure what has happened in the 'Road Map' of Development most developers make and follow, that you thought it was good to keep giving us more content, when there are many bugs that need fixing instead, and keeping it simple, fixing what you can, and as I mentioned, just adding in Single/Duo, of course with a better running Network.

Where in thinking of those that have oversight in this game ever came to the conclusion, that Quantity was better to have then Quality? Someone, or many have made a great mistake here!

I thought this was a 'Multi Billion Dollar' Corporation, I also understand that the profit margin, for your investment is also important, but when you are as big as you are, the average person is going to think, and expect, that the bigger named companies out there like you are delivering the quality to us, and when you are not, people are trying to figure the many reasons why not.

This might be a free game, but there is also the fact that getting Apex Coins is not free, so at $99 USD, and a game targeted at the entire world, where the percentage might be pretty decent, with gamers buying into the $99 Apex Pack, that could translate in people's minds that there is some good profit going on, and we still have a game with all the issues and network the way it is...

I think the world is doing one BIG HMMM over this company, trying to figure it all out, and many of the thoughts floating around over these ideas isn't all positive either.

EA, seriously, it's time to take a step back, and start giving the Quality and forget about any more Quantity for the time being!

  • This was a good one.

Would be nice to hear/read that they would focus on this issue at hand!

When you look at the Skins in the beginning, and then how the progressed, it seems pretty clear that EA was first going after trying to please and attract a larger audience of gamers, which is understandable.

I would of been personally happier with a more stable Network and Game with less goodies.

SO, let's see what's coming next...

  • @xpl0its I know this game is free and b/c of that EA and Respawn think they can do whatever they want, but even free games die due to lack of quality, and if EA doesn't step up they're quality pretty soon, they're gonna miss their chance! Some free game's gonna come along, it'll have quality and proceed to kill Apex. EA is shooting themselves in the foot and enjoying it! Capitalize on your success while you still can! What players want is game quality, and you'd better do quality updates while you have the player base, no one's gonna care when nobody's playing!
Obviously, this is a worst-case scenario, but you can't count on a best-case scenario.
Anyway, you need to get your priorities straight! You can make a quick buck for a very short time rn and let your game w/ many issues die, or you can make a huge profit by keeping this game going strong for a long time, and, though, the way of making a huge profit seems counter-productive at first, it will result in better numbers in the long-term.
I'm saying this like they don't already know, but sometimes it seems like they don't know it!

    @Robo_The_Man-Bot

Respawn is small, and were taken by surprise by the extreme popularity of the game.

If I had to take a wild guess, they wanted to make sure a larger gamer-base would be interested in the game, that is why I believe we started to see more varied styles of Skins/Content/Maps/Events, to appeal to more people.

The approach seems to of been to attract a wider user-base.

Now that is what I'd like to believe, and now that the game has plenty of variation, it's time to start fixing the bugs and forget about anymore content... 🙂

  • Yeah, servers lagging all the time, add some A D spam and you have a impossible target to hit. Then the no regs and so on...

But I do get some good games every now and then.

  • @xpl0its Yeah, I totally agree with you! I do hope EA and Respawn at least read what you wrote and take it to heart! I mean, sure, numbers (revenue, not player base) will prolly look a little worse for a little while, but they'll definitely pick back up and even surpass what they were at before the quality updates! I do understand that they have stockholders and whatnot to appease, but they do need to find a way to make it work.
