My journey:
- joined season 7 (end), explored the game for ~1 season
- understood this is "forever beta" as all free to play games - not a big deal, I can live with level playing field as long as there are no hackers and just bugs = same for everyone after all
- got a "apex bug" and grinded ranked hard
- around season 10 with already some experience in D4+ lobbies started to see some sus things and hit the wall of legit soloqing people = you get to D4 quite easily and then basically become cannonballmeat (old ranked system, now same applies around D3/D2)
- was on and off season 15-20, skipped a few
- gave benefit of a doubt for past 5 seasons (skipped I guess one)
- basically done with this game until they fix hacking issue
When you get it you get it. Have like 300+ hours in aimlabs, 15k or so in Apex, additional few hundreds in other shooters like Valorant and Overwatch and Quake 3... still getting owned hard no matter what because... yeah gaming chairs and protection from "above".
Kinda fed up to go against enchanced people protected by the system.
And overall the community honestly is very disappointing - loads of casuals who just came for "loot" with no intention of getting better, more so asking to drag skill level lower and lower each season.
And then there are all the communication channels where as soon as you say something bad about the game -> comments deleted, people removed, bans. To a point where my reddit got permabanned because someone of Apex reddit asked not only a ban from sub-reddit but reddit itself :)
Not touching this game until they fix hacking issues and above said. Or hopefully just switch to a better game.
