First of all, Peacekeeper deserved to be Care Packaged. However, Mastiff being a normal regular weapon makes the EVA-8 garbage tier now.Reason? Both the Mastiff and EVA-8 have 0% leg damage reduction. The issue is that the Mastiff does 13 damage per a pellet while the EVA-8 only does 7 per a pellet.See the difference? Mastiff can do 104 to the Body/Leg if all 8 pellets from a Mastiff lands. EVA-8 can only do 63 damage to the Body/Leg if all 9 pellets from an EVA-8 lands. There's only one way to really change this which might be to lower Mastiff damage from 13 to 12. This makes the max damage at least 96 from 104.Make EVA-8 damage increased from 7 to 8. This makes the damage to 72 from 63. Just my two cents. I'm still downloading the files but based off what I've seen. This is a problem.

@Alphabets Mastiff is really good, maybe a increase of time between shots will help, now can hit 200damage in two shots super fast, the rest of the mastiff stats are fine.

@SolitaryMassacre To be honest, Mastiff does more damage at range than an EVA-8. You can hit someone for a good 50-60 with only 4-5 pellets from a Mastiff.EVA-8 will most likely only get 7-21 from range with only 1-3 pellets landing.

* this update, the worst they ever did. Bring the peacekeeper back. I hate that they have too nerf every single item in the game as much as they have done. I stopped playing fortnite because all they did was make the game so noob friendly and now respawn is following in their footsteps. If they keep this * up then im done playing this game. Have banked over 1300 hours til now, dont seeing it getting alot nore after this....Love the character buffs and nerfs also the new char, all the other things, pfffff

We must be playing different games because Mastiff does way more than 11 damage. 11 is from a Gibby/Caustic and you only hit them with 1 pellet.Not to mention Season 5 current has no hit reg issues with most of the weapons.Besides the bugs, Mastiff and Havoc are current strongest weapons for Season 5.

This gun is still way too buff. I get 1 or 2 tapped constantly

@Leo_the_Lion25 Haven't played yet to experience what it is like. How things feel and how they look on paper are two completely different things.

My guess is the Eva-8 will still have range on its side. From what I understood in the patch notes, all 8 pellets from the mastiff will be difficult at far ranges. Which is good. I am liking these changes and cannot wait to play!!

@SolitaryMassacre Trust, just knowing that both weapons had 0% leg damage reduction was always a reason I changed my EVA-8 to the Mastiff when I got the weapon.

Since the Mastiff is a regular weapon with the same 0% leg damage reduction. EVA-8 is just like an Alternator. Only good for holding the attachments until I find a Mastiff.

I'll play the game later today myself whenever my download finishes. I just have bad download speed with big files.

I can’t land a headshot with Mastif, also no hop-up, I think it’s only good for super close fights.

I know this is a subject of other topics, but the mastiff is buffed and the weapon needs to be tuned down or taken out of the game completely.
