Hey @Highresista,
Thanks for the feedback! That does sound pretty rough for sure.
Have you played with any friends at all, or have you been queueing alone so far? - r1ggedgame4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Highresista The Question that Mako asked you should tell you a lot about the infamous Apex Matchmaking. If you search this forum you will find a lot of posts regarding your issue. In short you can say, the Matchmaking wasn't really designed for new solo players. You should go to an apex discord server for your region and find ppl that are your skill level or below to team up. this will likely give you a better experience. If you team up with ppl that have a higher "hidden MMR", you will end up with those 10K+ Opponents. A reason why quite some of my friends dont wanna play with me anymore, bcs those lobbies are way to hard for them. Afaik there is no "Mate Matching" in place for solos players, so if you get a better team mate you also get the more difficult lobby. This can result in a toxic round, since the teammate expects you to play on his level which you might not being able to pull off.
- @Highresista You're not. You're supposed to be fodder for the TTVers, the smurfs, the cheaters, and the boosters.
You're supposed to be free kills for the enjoyment of Master players who spend hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars on this game so they stay. yes, who are also new players.
- @EA_Mako I am queing with friends, who are also new players with fresh accounts.

@Highresista
Gotcha, thanks!
Out of curiosity had you exclusively played in full groups of 3 with friends when you started seeing this, or were there occasional games with a random third person?
And can I ask which mode(s) you were playing? That should help give us a bit more context to that behavior you're seeing. - @EA_Mako I have not played a single solo game, only full premade duos and trios.
I for one, started a month ago at the bidding of my boarder who plays on PS4. I didn't encounter as much brute force then because the season was on the last month. I have found going solo in trio matches helps me to explore the map better. I don't need to drag others down as a boat anchor either. Having an in house expert of this game has helped a lot. Asking a lot of questions over your mic might irritate your team. Not all teams know what to do. I have learned early drop is early death. Can you tell me how to get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice, practice... use the rifle range a lot. When you make friends you can get organized. I never start any BR saying, I am going to win. I set a personal objective, usually some challenge from my tracking. If we get the win, it is just icing on the cake.
In the random arenas, you can do your most damage, there are no npc raptors and you just have the 3 enemies... unless you count the one on your team. lol Find guns that suit your play style. Learn the mechanics of the characters. Eventually you will love or hate this game. I don't recommend people who hate the game to play, but give it a chance.

Thanks for following up @Highresista, I appreciate the feedback and details. 👍
- @Xubunnytwo the issue is, you can't really practice when out of 10 games, 1 our squad doesn't get laser beamed by a diamond+ player in the first minute of the game. And when it doesn't, we simply die in the first mid game battle, because our aim is simply not on par with more than half the lobby. We can't get the play time to learn the mechanics, because the matchmaking throws at us the top 5% of the players each game or simply people with 5k+ hours, which shouldn't happen.
