keep in mind i am a former caustic main(switched to a fuse main so its not because of the nerfs) but my issue with it is his ult taking longer to charge just gives him the ability to be less aggressive which encourages a more campy style, dont mind the gas doing less damage but i do think making one of his offensive tools be on a higher cooldown is not the way i would have done it at least
should be interesting to see what the changes do to caustic though
If the damage is going to be so low, then bring back vision blur or something. He's now less useful than before. As someone that played Caustic mostly since launch, I'm probably not touching this season. Kinda sucks too considering the town takeover theme.
agreed, weird timing considering he is getting massively nerfed in his own event, its like having a birthday party and having to give everyone who attended a present instead of them giving you one
@Swarth23005 damage max just sounds like a harsh nerf, I wanted him nerfed to not do damage to rampart’s walls or wattson’s fences so they would be viable defensive legends but this patch just seems to hurt caustic all around... ya his gas will still instantly destroy wattson’s fences and rampart’s walls will still take damage 5 per tick but I feel like now caustic is going to be on the same level as wattson to where enemies aren’t going to be afraid to push him through his gas because the risk factor is pretty low... you go through wattsons fences thats 15 damage you go through caustics gas the same damage would take 3 ticks....
I guess we will need to just wait and see, they said if it hurts caustic too much they could always make some changes if needed but I do kinda like caustic having less offensive power because he is meant to be a defensive legend
