PATHFINDER - Q charged in 20 seconds

Let's be honest,

Pathfinder is now USELESS for most of the players.

His passive - Blood and Crypto have it too, so it's nothing specific for him

His tactical - it used to be top, but now its just charging TOO SLOW

His Ultimate - got a very small boost, but it doesn't compensate what he used to be, a favourite and very funny character for many players, including me

Please support this proposal for improvment this legend. My suggestion is very simple, reduce its tactical to at least - 20 second - so we can fly like before and for this veteran to became what it used to be, a Legend.

Thank you very match and have a nice day,

PS: Thanks to the Apex Legends Team for trying to keep the game balanced, I understand it's  hard, but I think this is a good idea and the most players will appreciate it.

  • @Hovado420 If they reduce it to twenty then he probably wont get any love to his ult and passive, which are both kinda garbage. Ziplines are a deathtrap in this game now due to not being able to hop on them, his first passive is shared by far more powerful characters, and his second passive just reduces the cooldown on his deathtrap ult. I think it should be 25 seconds (like Wraith), and he should get a complete rework on his ult and cooldown passive.

Yea, I admit that 15 seconds was too OP, but 25 is the maximum in my opinion. However I would accept it if they rework the passive as well. I think compared to bloodhound and his scan, the shortening of the charge for the zipline is a bit unbalanced

  • @Hovado420 I was thinking of making his ult a tether effect. He activates a mode that has a timer (similar to bloodhound ult) that massively reduces his grapple cooldown as well as allowing his teammates to "tether" to him one time as he grapples by pressing the action key on him. This way he has massively improved team mobility, and his current unique passive of lowering his ult cooldown permanently after beacon scans would be far more useful. His character would center entirely around his grapple.

It sound interesting, but I think it's a bit problematic to use for example in combat. Maybe I don't know exactly how you mean it. I play for him even now and it suits me well, except for the cooldown of the hook. Learning hook tricks is the most funniest thing players can do in the game in my opinion and it's very powerful, if they learn it

  • @Hovado420 basically what I'm saying is he goes into an ult mode like bloodhounds ult that reduces his grapple cooldown from 25 seconds to a much much quicker cooldown. While in that mode teammates can tether themselves to him once by clicking square (or whatever the keyboard varient is), so that when he uses the grapple they are also propelled in to the air with him. Clicking square again unthethers the teammate and they cannot retether. This way you get the equivalent of season one pathfinder grapples while in his ult, and you get a far superior team mobility option (if the pathfinder is good).
  • @Hovado420 I had just begun to Main Path when they ruined him. He's honestly big, and clunky, he's low profile so he takes extra damage, and getting to play like Spiderman was what made him fun.

Unlike wraith or even lobas repositioning tactical, you can shoot path while he's zipping or grappling. Its also easy to mess up his grappa when in a fast paced moment and causing it to break off.

They gave him the big nerf and took him out of the meta for a few seasons, now bring him back a bit because yeah, he's basically useless.

@CocoaHyena Ok so from a 'Play Apex' stance, yes he should be fun. But in 'Ranked', having him be too mobile isn't fair to other teams who don't have him. In my experience, when his grapple cooldown was lower I barely used his ultimate as a teammate because he was always too far away. I think the devs felt that he beca,e too much of an Octane where he ran solo too often, something not entirely useful in Ranked. In that regard, maybe a way to buff him would be to give him an edge like the 'speed ups' in cooldown for more than just his ultimate. In a way, teams become less mobile near endgame because they have to hold ground, so what if they did that cooldown thing for tactical too, not just for his ultimate? I really enjoy the map scans with the BH and Crypto but I think they should be kept and then those legends can have debuffs in their newer buffs, like maybe higher cooldowns, but ultimately should be disadvantaged by their unchanging cooldowns. I like pathfinder's lack of OPness, although maybe there can be an adaption for noobs who mess up their grapples. One way would be to adapt the cooldown based off of how far Pathfinder travels after a grapple. Far, and he must wait a while; close, and he can retry in a short moment!

That could be great. He would have the opportunity to grapple more in combat and at the same time not run so much when moving with the team
